Wax On
nice one wax! nice and tight. Have you stopped cutting or can you reach over your maschine easy enough? I only just set it up like that yesterday, seems alright for cutting, easy enough to swap stuff over. Ideally I'd have the speakers further apart but I my plank isn't long enough #ladhumor

mattnice
Annoyingly I have 2 technics on the floor as they wont fit on the desk, hence the handytrax for the vinyl option... You gonna get another 2000 ?
Jimmy
maybe in the future, but im not planning on it anytime soon. The biggest plus for getting another one would be the link option so i could run everything from one usb stick. But im not looking to another one to enable the sync or master bpm control or anything. I can imagine that takes the fun out of djing a fair bit, unless you're rocking 4 decks or something and proper live remixing.
mattnice
i just thought with your ocd, the idea of none matching dex would drive you mad, it would for me and i'm not ocd.
Jimmy
im trying not to think about it. i've swapped things around since that pic so things look more organised and in their place.my whole room feels abit DIY tbh as its not very big and i use boxes to keep things on. i like it tho. But next time i move, whenever that'll be, i'll make sure i get a proper desk and that. Or at least room for one.

mattnice
its bugging me, everytime i woke up, i'd see two unmatching cdj's
Jimmy
i cover them up with something, mainly to stop dust gathering, but it works for that as well.
mattnice
But under that sheet is a pair of mismatched cdj's
djdiggla
That would drive me nuts. I hate when people have mismatched decks.
Jimmy
its a mind set, i think of it like this.... cdj2000 (usbs) - mixer (for mixing) - cdj1000 (for cds/serato) - handytrax (for vinyl) so it doesnt matter so much things dont match as they're each playing different media. mattnice
would drive me crazy, I'd wake up in the night and have to look under the cover to make sure they matched. You are a strong minded bro. I expect a post next week of Jimbo walking out of westend dj with a cdj2000

DJ Rock Well
My current set-up at the studio. It's quite long, much like myself, so I have had to take three pics to cover it.
supacuts
I could just spend a whole day in your studio. I wouldn't actually achieve anything but I would feel at peace with myself.
assemblyworker
It's like what a DJ shop should be, a whole heap of stuff, set up on a nice table where you can try it all out.
supacuts
I went to HTFR before they had a refit and their upstairs level had everything setup. It was cool but you just can't touch everything quick enough - it's like being a kid again! Love it.
