  1. yeh for sure it feels quite niche, for some reason i've always wanted one, probably as i like to make life harder for myself. The price definitely isnt something I was looking for but my whole set up is 2x1200's, the rotary, and the s2400. so im going stripped back but high quality.
  2. thats enlightening. I watch these guys - https://www.youtube.com/@RKG/featured their whole thing is that one of them is good but doesnt play, he just knows the lore inside out, one is there for banter and rory (the player) is shit at dark souls type games so its basically him being an idiot. mostly its funny, but also sometimes its 2 hours of him trying to beat a boss. and thats edited down, i think it actually takes all day. I think this too. like for fun and stuff i get it, especially the social side of it all. but like we're saying, if its taking hours / days / weeks to progress then I'd rather put my time into something else. and i dont even have kids or anything!
  3. Yeah, it does look like you have to learn boss attacks etc to be able to beat them. It’s also so open world that I feel I’d get lost on some side quest and just set up a mining guild or something. in general I think games are too hard. Aren’t they supposed to be relaxing? I peaked at goldeneye.
  4. Cheers Diggles! #nocomputers!
  5. Is anyone into Elden Ring? I dont play it but know more than i should from my mate and also watching youtube play throughs.
  6. https://www.islainstruments.com/product/s2400/ So what prompted me to come see if DV was still around was getting one of these. I've decided i want to see out my days just sampling some vinyl and making short tracks for fun. I'm still very much learning it but its mental, everything I wanted and more I'll probably not use. Also, in response to Deft, thinking of getting a MasterSounds Radius mk2 rotary mixer. For the killer EQ and so i can mix all my dnb vinyl i kept hold of.
  7. Thud Rumble is the DJ equivalent of Urban Outfitters: pop a sticker on it and up the price.
  8. this kinda stuff has been around years tho hasnt it? itunes has has 'blend tracks into each other' for ages. spotify does it too. i think listeners listening tastes are too broad and varied for this kind of thing. plus i assume you need to own the tracks that the app is using? again, surely most people use streaming services on their phones and that now?
  9. i'm typing this without checking cos im at work, but surely for $4000 you can get a better audiophile turntable anyway? why would someone chose this over another audiophile TT? and it also doesnt make any sense from a DJ point of view, so i'm not sure whats the point of this.
  10. Deft! have a word with yourself. Don't tarnish your brand.
  11. that's really shit. for some reason i'm not overly surprised tho. is there not some way of officially complaining to kickstarter and be like "they straight up lied?" or to get money refunded? surely if kickstarter dont jump in to help out then loads of people could just post lies/scams up on the site.
  12. i'm away in New York for xmas so i've not really bought anything for anyone and i've said dont get anything for me either. so i've kind of removed myself from the equation. i'm just not arsed at all this year. Lovely banner. but my fave is still the Laura Heard one <3
  13. He's merked you with those added gold headphones tho Deft.
  14. His PR stunt has backfired...somewhat. how? you're all talking about him. i'm not talking about selling things, im talking about just talking about RR, i think thats his real aim. and the scratch scene loves talking about him.
  15. just had a thought, anyone think he might be a PR genius? he's just got a 6 page thread out of this without even trying. i'm not saying anyone is gonna go out and buy his stuff from this, but if his aim is to be talked about, then he's clearly doing things right.
  16. record your own with that silky voice of yours?
  17. if i was gonna buy anything musical again, it'd be an op1 and as a concept it use it solely and see what lil beats i could make. thats kinda my plan for when my knees properly give out
  18. The T word is to music is what rollerblading is to 'action' sports.
  19. my very selective efforts were with Logic. it was fairly intense, but do able. i found it felt a lot like a 'job' though. ie i worked on a computer all day drawing stuff in a structured and technical way, then was going home to work on music in a very structured and technical way. i just wasnt bothered enough to put up with it. EDIT: thinking about it, maybe thats just how my brain works/approaches things. hmmmm
