If I had that kind of money to spend, I'd have to donate half of it to charity or something, just to live with myself. They also have butyl rubber rings around the cones instead of foam rubber so they last forever instead of degrading after 5 or 10 years. Their sound is incredible, and they sat in the basement of our house for 30 years before i ever used them without the foam rings ever corroding. They just don't build shit like that anymore. For years I've been wanting to replace the lame Kef speakers I use, but there's no way I could afford anything half decent, and I've never seen the point in swapping shit for shit simply through boredom.
