Just wondering if many people still do,normally after a weekend of digging i buy about 50-100 records, then in the week probably about 5-10 off ebay then about 4 off fat city.

Is anyone else still buying records or you all gone digital.

I am also shifting quite a few, while building up a stock for the shop thats opening soon.

I fuckin love records

Up until the beginning of this year when I spent loads of money on equipment I was spending a large amount each week on records but getting more debt made me stop buying so I've pretty much been off the vinyl all year.

The largest portion of what I used to spend was on records for DJing, I've now pretty much decided (today) to go digital for most of my djing needs. I will however be more focussed on buying vinyl for sampling, special records and records just for listening and this I think is a positive thing, I reckon this will eventually make my collection more quality as it will have less of those "throw away tune of the month" record added to it and more higher quality tunes.

amen

to be honest i havent bought any "new" records in years!

i tend to just hit the Charity Shops / Car Boots for sounds

most records around now, i feel, tend to be shit music like chart stuff

have to dig or go online to find good stuff on vinyl

I still buy vinyl regularly, i buy a lot more cds but i try to buy as many records as i can. If i know a friend who has an album on cd, i'll get it on vinyl then burn their cd if its an album, or just record them as mp3s if they're just singles.

I digg every oppurtunity I can, I love digging for

vinyl it is a pleasure that has stayed with me for

many years.

I buy new stuff if I hear something worth buying

I never got in to cd's at all even for listening only

the last couple of months when I got the car.

I have so much vinyl now I could probably stop

buying and not get sick of listening to the stuff

I have.

Like Matt though I Fooking love records.

I still flip through shit when and where ever I see it. and I buy when I have the loot to do so. haven't had much surplus loot as of late though, pockets are tight.

when I do have cash, i'll buy somewhere between 8 and 18 records a month. various places..mom and pop shops, indy record stores, online...flea markets.

i love digging too, been doing it for years and will be for as long as vinyl is available. dont buy new stuff anymore just second hand. i fucking hate c.d's and wont buy em, dont even own a player exept my laptop. and as for using mp3's fuck that no way no how. bit of a purist when it comes to d.jing. but the more go digital the more vinyl will be left for us diggers.
