i love digging too, been doing it for years and will be for as long as vinyl is available. dont buy new stuff anymore just second hand. i fucking hate c.d's and wont buy em, dont even own a player exept my laptop. and as for using mp3's fuck that no way no how. bit of a purist when it comes to d.jing. but the more go digital the more vinyl will be left for us diggers.

denon used to sell a mixer where you stuck a cd on top to scratch with, dont know what they were like to use tho. that synergy thing looks proper wack

never had a minutes bother with my 05 sl, dont know why they are being hated on so much. my cut in is sharp , mixer sounds good, never had a fader break the mixer does all i ask of it. i would say give both a try and make your own mind up. a lot of folk are jumping on the lets hate vestax bandwagon. they set the standard for battle mixers with the first little o5 mixers, every battle mixer since has pretty much bitten the lay out of the faders etc. by the way fuck p@g new faders by them are shite. id get the 05 and drop a pro x in there. result a fucking dope mixer.

every night for an hour when i get in from work, helps me relax and get totaly out of work mode, dont do it for practice really just for a bit of escapism

seems a bit pricey to me, more of a 15 quid l.p. never heard a tune thats really done a good job with the mexican beat, more of a breakers tune than something to cut with.

its the boss fs5u non latching footswitch you need. i dont like to use the pedal with the o5 sl tho you get a little bit of latency that can bugger up your loop. i tend to use a loopstation 2 fs5u's for loops n stuff and the delay on the 05sl you get the best of everything that way.

haahaha i'm still usibg the old stanton 500's never had a problem with skippage or burn so long as the arm is balanced properly.

i spin mainly funk 45's and can cut scratch and juggle with em, its like anything you just need to develop the feel for smaller bits of vinyl, look at c.chemist and shadow on the freeze dvd or product placement and then tell me you need over inflated bits of crap to do owt. practice makes perfect but it helps to have your turns properly set up first, i.e. balance the tone arm use correct weight etc.
