  1. I was litteraly just going to start a thread about this... Anyhow my wife bought one for us and the latency is horrible i think, it's no fun cutting with it as it is. we tried it with both of our phones - a galaxy s5 and an honor m8. it said 7ms latency on both but felt totally different, it was much worse with the s5, probably because it has only 2 gig ram and not 4. honestly i find the latency of 5,4 ms with traktor on the z2 barely standable for skratching but anything above that makes it impossible to really skratch. oh yeah did i mention that I wanted to buy a jesse dean fader in the first place...
  2. thanks a lot! the z2 was out of stock at the shop i wanted to pick it up at so i have to wait until monday.
  3. i think there is one guy from germany called fe-do who also installs fretless faders - at least he made ritchie rufftone's. or is ritchie's a midi fader that is entirely different to john beez' fretless fader? and at all the damn haters on this thread, you better bow down to the fucking controller one anthem: :d
  4. fucking dope, i think this guys ante is from germany as well. i need to find out what program him, sirness and zuckell are using - sirness named it on facebook once and it seems pretty easy to use.
  5. i got a super rare limited edition of the super seal 7'' - it's black (not trendy neon green with pink dots) and i believe it's the world's only super seal 7' that is actually 12'' big. i think i should put it on ebay for like 200 bucks...
  6. i'm probably going to buy a native instruments z2 tormorrow and i never used any dvs before so i have a few questions: 1) there are two user accounts on the laptop i'm going to use with traktor - mine and my wife's - and we both want to use traktor. what user account should i install the traktor software on (or should i make another user account for using traktor only)? 2) what are some good free digital skratch tools? i already collected some upr samples and classic breaks etc to try out the z2 and i definitely want to get a digital version of nicknack's soundcraftsman and a digital version of the record 4onefunk made for the controller 1 but i need a few skratch tools for the start. 3) what's a good free audio editor (i doubt good old cool edit 2.0 will run on windows 10, rip peter quistgard)? i will probably have plenty more questions once i'm getting started but any help on these is highly appreciated! xox and sincerely yours handsome helmut :-) edit: steve what's that ''0 warning points" under my name about?
  7. my two cents on the whole topic: as i wrote on fb, ruck's skills on the cut/ music production are just as legendary as his ego tripping and internet rants so theres nothing new here. on one hand his solo cuts, his phrasing and his skratch production are absolutely legendary. as jam stated, a lot of his cuts, phrasing and production became like a blueprint to everything that came after him. even people who dont know that were influenced by other people who were influenced by him. without ruck (and toadstyle) the scratch science guys, birdy nam nam, alien army etc would not do what they do, scratching would not be what is today. but on the other hand rucks cuts, phrasing and production is obviously based on what q and d did before him, so there without them there would be no ruck. also I remember quite a few posts where his ego simply surpassed his skills. for instance when d, toad and excess went for the rock hard bastards tour he posted something like old crew going on a tour without the master theyre not going anywhere. on the facebook post he wrote something like d is doing that same old horn routine for ten years now and it is based on my style. the bottom line is: even if you are sort of a genious, constantly expecting people to acknowledge you for being one, to thank you for your influence on art and bashing other people at the same time makes you appear like an asshole. and of course posts like the recent one on fb feed his ego because every time he joins a discussion it becomes viral which supports his view of being the center of the scratch universe
  8. only semi on topic but i uploaded some of the classic rucker skratch files for those who missed out back than: http://www88.zippyshare.com/v/WwPFBntA/file.html
  9. i might have to buy a new laptop soon and i need advice on what i should get, a cheap one with an additional usb audio interface or a mediocre one with basic in-/output and onboard sound. it will be used mainly by my wife for writing university papers but i would also like to use it for playing beats from loopers/ cutting and maybe some basic recording, no fancy production software though. edit: some time in the future i might buy serato or traktor so the laptop should be able to deal with dvs ad well. the cheap one i was looking at is an Acer Aspire ES1-521-66D3 with AMD A6-6310 Quad-Core, 8GB ram and 1000GB hdd and costs 430 euro (300 pound). it has only a headphone output and no line in, so i guess i would need a usb audio interface. the other one i was looking at is a fujitsu LIFEBOOK A555 with Intel Duo Core i5-5200U-Prozessor (2 x 2.2 GHz), 8 gig ram and 256 gb ssd and costs 650 euro / 450 pound. this one has an audio input and an audio output so i figure i would be able to use it without additional gear. any kind of help is appreciated.

  11. @solemn: lol! actually taking into consideration that i basically have all rucC stuff that ever existed but NOT these files makes me think they probably do not exist at all. @symatic: nice meeting you, jimmy and akulate at the sample music festival in berlin, i'm glad we could at least have a brief chat before my daughter got tired and grumpy :-)
  12. @randy: i just moved to berlin two months ago; holla at me on here or on facebook if you ever want to meet for a little chat - no time for long skratch sessions though as i recently became a father for the 2nd time :-)
  13. ALL skratched music is actually extremely rare, most stuff is skratch/ midi hybrid but some of it definitely has that certain skratch vibe to it. just off the head: red's "fingerprints" album is absolutely great, got to check that out. can't forget teeko on that list, his second album "light up the darkness" is super slept on, sone of the best skratch related music EVER! the individual members of alien army had some great solo releases, like dj tayone's album "photographie", john type's album "lunatic decadence" (which has a great d-styles feature!) or some of dj skizo's releases. can't think of any more now that haven't been mentioned already although i probably forgot half a dozen... did y'all hear about shortkut's solo album and the new isp album yet?
  14. i would like to but i won't be able because it's too far away, my daughter is sick and i got a lot of work to do this weekend :-( are you going?
  15. damn a track with iq... so how are the albums, i would like to hear a little review!
  16. i bet my best pair of lederhosen iq's gonna make it!
