  8. My buddy put me on to this podcast by Dan Zacks called Waxing Deep Radio. He plays a lot of funky jazz stuff from canada and latin america, especially music from revolutionary cuba, and a good amount of fela kuti as well. Each one is two hours long and full of dope dope grooves from extremely rare vinyl. Any beat diggers should definitely check this out!!

  10. you guys were getting pretty funky there nice work. Cuts and keys were great and i liked the grooves the drummer was putting down, but it sounds like he has some problems coming out of his fills on tempo overall very enjoyable to listen to man great stuff there
  11. logic is great for MIDI but if you're recording audio PT sounds pretty good. Might wanna check out cubase / nuendo as well. PT 7.4 just dropped it's pretty cool.
  12. Bob Katz (worl renowned mastering engineer) has a book out called "Mastering Audio: the Art and the Science". It's a really great book about mastering and sound in general. I'd say read it, and then try to master some other stuff on your own to practice before trying your own album

  18. the stem looks pretty much the same except for at the base of it there isn't a little notch in it like on the last one. The fader knob is new and i like it much more than the old one
  19. Yeah i still buy regularly, but not nearly that amount. ~$100/wk on vinyl for me usually about 10 records
