Guest Deeswift
Can you OC that card a little?
Chee
Yup. I got the latest ATI Omega drivers (ie the cracked ones), and ATItool, and managed to get about a 20MHz boost to the GPU speed. I can boost it a bit more I think, but because it's just a heatsink on the card, I don't wanna risk it. Actually, I've been looking at getting a Radeon 9800 Pro recently, but I wanna make sure I get one with a r360 core, so I can unlock it to a 9800 XT. Guest Deeswift
That might be hard to find. My HIS 9800 Pro IceQ is supposed to clock beyond XT speeds even with the R350 core, but it doesn't. I'm pissed off about it too cause one of the reasons I bought this card was for OCing. Max core I can reach is 404, max memory is 369, this is without artifacts. I'm not happy man, all I see is "WOW! I got my IceQ up to 450 core!"Â See the user reviews of my card here and you'll see what I'm talking about:Â http://www.ebuyer.com/customer/products/in...oduct_uid=55198
Chee
At least it looks like your card has the 256-bit memory. Some models of the 9800 Pro only have 128-bit memory, which apparently makes a noticeable difference. As far as the R360 core goes, there are reports that the Sapphire Radeon 9800 Pro and the Sapphire Atlantis Radeon 9800 Pro have it.  Actually there are reports that all the new Radeon 9800 Pros that get made now have the R360 core. I guess the trick is finding a retailer that has new stock of the card.
Banano
Don't be sore Dee - HL2 will look fuckin awesome on that card and we all know that that will be the engine of choice for the next couple (at least) of years.
Guest Deeswift
9800 Pro is good but showing it's age since the nVidia 6800 and ATI X800 series came about. I would like a 6800GT but can't afford it yet. Not sure whether to RMA this IceQ card, it definately doesn't perform like the review models and what everyone else is getting.
