I won't post a file because I'm shit.

 

There's been loads of stuff posted since the 2001 practice. The most known one would be StretchedAnimalSkinDrum. Then there's the Vertebrae Promo Mix which I posted a few weeks ago. There's files I posted a few days ago which have no scratching in them, 3 songs (only Ryan listened). Then there's numerous other files I have posted along the way.

and for those interested in the delayed 2click...this is the best and easist to comprehend description:

 

do this

(forth, back, forth, back) simple baby scratch

 

now

 

in this timing you can lay a clicker pattern like this :

 

1 2 3 4 1 2 3 4 1 2 3 4 (4/4)

 

F B F B F B F B F B F B (VINYL)

 

1 2 3 1 2 3 1 2 3 1 2 3 (3/4) CLICKER

 

Now, accent the 1 and 2 of the 3/4th timing which means u have to click on the 1 and 2, skip 3, repeat.

here an addition:

 

i suggest the first thing u do to practice this is :

 

do the vinyl movement, the 4/4 movement and COUNT in your head : 1-2-3-1-2-3-1-2-3-1-2-3 so you get the timing. Then maybe u can just count the 1 and 2 so you know exactly where to put those clicks

the sound division is exactly like the 2 click, but this sounds more soft...more circular..

Thanks for breaking it down in the simplest way I have ever seen, Darwins. Now, if this description is correct, why has there been so much confusion about this damn scratch? Darwins makes it sound so simple.
