  1. might be obvious, but the protective shipping plastic has been removed from the lens hasn't it? talking from experience here, same problem on an S3, lol
  2. Does flip work with all controllers? Can't seem to find it (or understand it, lol) Edit, it's a paid add on pack, hence why I can't find it, doh
  3. Use SDJ with a Terminal Mix 2 and SL2. Both works fine and i like the software. they've just added the midi panel back in so you can use your own midi controller for mapping and such. never had any crate issues switching between the 2 but it's always best to backup your _serato_ folder to make sure.
  4. fine here, not been called out to any issues for it either around stoke/stafford :-/
  5. remove the hard disk, boot from windows disk, see if you can get all the way to the setup screen. If you can, then it's almost certainly the hard drive preventing booting up, in which case a replacement is in order and then you hopefully can use an enclosure to recover the data from the other drive.
  6. Problem is its in manc, and I'm not. I'm teamviewered in so am limited as to what I can do.
  7. Got a bit of a strange one here, got a call from a company in manchester, one of their computers acting up (windowsXP) can't open chrome or ccleaner. They use IE7 for their intranet and chrome for everything else, it stopped working after opening a dodgy email apparently. seemed to me like a straightforward reinstall of chrome but something isn't right at all when using ie7 it mainly works ok (as far as ie7 goes anyway) when i navigate to website like malwarebytes.org and hijackthis the process quits out. not a crash, just quits. I downloaded the chrome online installer and offline installer, neither will install. no error just nothing comes up after running, so I found the MSI and got that to install but it the app won't start, in the task manager you see the process for a split second then it quits I downloaded mbam from another machine and installed it. removed a significant amount of stuff but nothing out the ordinary. search protect, conduit, funwebmoods etc. (got the logs if need be) they were running antivirus but it was avg 8.5, lol as i said couldn't get hijackthis from the computer so downloaded from another and ran, here is the text Logfile of Trend Micro HijackThis v2.0.5Scan saved at 20:13:40, on 01/08/2014Platform: Windows XP SP3 (WinNT 5.01.2600)MSIE: Internet Explorer v7.00 (7.00.6000.21376) FIREFOX: 27.0.1 (en-US)Boot mode: Normal Running processes:C:\WINDOWS\System32\smss.exeC:\WINDOWS\system32\csrss.exeC:\WINDOWS\system32\winlogon.exeC:\WINDOWS\system32\services.exeC:\WINDOWS\system32\lsass.exeC:\WINDOWS\system32\svchost.exeC:\WINDOWS\system32\svchost.exeC:\WINDOWS\System32\svchost.exeC:\WINDOWS\system32\svchost.exeC:\WINDOWS\system32\svchost.exeC:\WINDOWS\system32\spoolsv.exeC:\WINDOWS\system32\svchost.exec:\Program Files\Common Files\EFI\EFI ES-1000 Service\ES1000Service.exec:\Program Files\Common Files\EFI\EFI ES-1000 Service\ES1000Server.exeC:\WINDOWS\system32\hasplms.exeC:\Program Files\Java\jre6\bin\jqs.exeC:\Program Files\Common Files\Microsoft Shared\VS7DEBUG\MDM.EXEC:\Program Files\Microsoft SQL Server\MSSQL$MICROSOFTSMLBIZ\Binn\sqlservr.exeC:\WINDOWS\System32\svchost.exeC:\WINDOWS\system32\svchost.exeC:\Program Files\TeamViewer\Version8\TeamViewer_Service.exeC:\WINDOWS\System32\alg.exeC:\WINDOWS\Explorer.EXEC:\WINDOWS\system32\wscntfy.exeC:\WINDOWS\system32\hkcmd.exeC:\WINDOWS\system32\igfxpers.exeC:\Program Files\Analog Devices\Core\smax4pnp.exeC:\Program Files\Common Files\Java\Java Update\jusched.exeC:\Program Files\CyberLink\PowerDVD\DVDLauncher.exeC:\Program Files\DYMO\DYMO Label Software\DLSService.exeC:\PROGRA~1\ROYALM~1\SMARTS~1\BINARY\STRAY.EXEC:\Program Files\Common Files\Adobe\ARM\1.0\AdobeARM.exeC:\Program Files\Adobe\Acrobat 11.0\Acrobat\Acrotray.exeC:\WINDOWS\system32\ctfmon.exeC:\Program Files\DYMO\DYMO Label Software\DymoQuickPrint.exeC:\Program Files\Common Files\Java\Java Update\jucheck.exeC:\DOCUME~1\ltritton\LOCALS~1\Temp\TeamViewer\Version7\TeamViewer.exeC:\DOCUME~1\ltritton\LOCALS~1\Temp\TeamViewer\Version7\tv_w32.exec:\docume~1\ltritton\locals~1\temp\teamviewer\version7\TeamViewer_Desktop.exeC:\WINDOWS\system32\taskmgr.exeC:\WINDOWS\system32\rundll32.exeC:\Documents and Settings\ltritton\Desktop\HijackThis.exeC:\WINDOWS\system32\wbem\wmiprvse.exe R1 - 8. Changing the hard drive will not affect cpu temp. Changing the thermal compound and using a cooling pad is the way forward.

Also hosting a couple of one off nights in April. All pretty small really but prefer it as can't dedicate the time to it any more so just prefer occasional stuff :-)
