airnino
my first attempt at making such a mid tempo beat from a chopped soul record. i tried to give it my own little twist so it keeps changing. feedback appreciated http://rapidshare.com/files/380959894/airnino_-_a_little_bit_of_love.mp3.htmlhttp://www.mediafire.com/?zy52zrm5mmthttp://rapidshare.com/files/380962355/airnino_-_a_little_bit_of_love.mp3.html

kut_class
yeah , nice beat, like the fading effect on some of the sections and small delays on others, never really thought of transitioning like that before but sound pretty nice. Few drum edits here and there would be good. Would be good to hear with a acapella over the top, the bit where it cuts to the hats sounds kinda sparse in a beat by itself , but i know how that sounds dope with a vocal over. On a production note, the chopped sample loudness jumps about quite a bit - i was playing this loud, then turn the speakers up for a quite bit , then got blasted when the main hook came back in (easily fixed in the mix). Thanks for sharing the beat dude. The style is well hard to perfect, but is fuckin well good fun playing with chopped samples and just grooving for hours ! Jimmy
i dont kno much about this sort of thing, and i have no idea how you would go about producing it, but i enjoyed listening to it. nice and summery!
Wax On
i got excited and Dl'd it on my cellphone. turn the bass up - i'm sure the track you sampled is more bassy than that. Incidentally, what's that track called? - i've got it on a couple of mixtapes, its the sound i'm into at the moment, the modern soul.Edit - just heard the later part of the track where you've got the bass up. I like the percussion, reminds me of earlyish Kanye I agree with Kutclass about hearing it with lyrics on top, that'd be good. Basically its a really good first effort, just needs engineering a bit differently. Big ups!
djfoly
I liked it a lot. I am not sure if I'd call it classic hip hop probably more like 98-2002 type steez! Great beat though!
airnino
thanks for the feedback guys! i put it on zshare as well: http://www.zshare.net/audio/75488775943eaf81/ the original is called "open up your heart" by the bar-kays. i came along it on a mix by seiji from bugz in the attic and it just jumped right at me so to say.
