  1. I’ve been using an app on my iPhone called Loopy , alongside a cheap iOS sound card (sonic port - pretty cheap on eBay). Loopy is 8 track , so you get a lot more to play with than a standard loop pedal .
  2. Treated myself to a korg nts-1 , it’s a little build it yourself synth , but has the same fx processing chip as a minilogue .building it was easy and have already made some crazy sounds using the little ribbon keyboard some arp /filter / hall reverb action. Looking forward to spending hours playing with it and making no music 😂
  3. yep id love a copy of the physical
  4. ^^ Phil you actually set the tone for the battle perfectly by just standing there in full boss mode !!! Totally wicked weekend. Took a bit of doing to pull it all together. Sy smashed it making it all happen and being a bawss on the mic. Ed was like the baddie wrestler that everyone loves, knocking out foos left n right only to come a cropper in the final round. We even got the crowd booing and hissing him like a bad guy hahah. Big up Paul on taking the win. Performance on the day were pretty immense too. Redmist's set was so musical and deep, picking up from where scratch music should have gone. Jeppa staight up hardcore juggled super fast for 15mins, some of it was beyond redic and all flowed super nicely. El Statiko came with the fury and did a battle routine with some good use of the tiny loop /tone trick. Muzzel did his cue point cutting thing, with a few new beats and some from last CSG and then went on to straight murder the cut with a cameo from Sy being equally beastly !! Having just won the battle Paul stepped up for his showcase, a pretty fitting way for a triumphant winner to celebrate :-p but also prime time for beers and smoking (sorry mate). Skratchlords finished it off in usual lordly style, but with the alternative line up of Redmist and Moschops standing in for Jimmy P and Jack. Very dope and quirky beats and cuts - when Jim Om Unit shouts back "Hell Yeah" to "who wants to hear more weird music!" you know you're on to a winner. Also big up everyone that made it down and our fallen comrades enduring the horrors of sunny beaches and family photos :-p

  10. I know there's some fans of Strange U on here. Im a massive fan of Chemo's production, hes worked for a lot of labels over the years and his production is so dusty and grimy but clean as fuck at the same time. Anyways .. thought id share this interview with Fliptix about the birth of High Focus. Really interesting to read about how they grew the label and how things started just from a open mic jams .. https://nationofbillions.com/the-rise-rise-of-high-focus-records
  11. Voted for Broma, really good use of the samples and the production sounded great as did others but overall it was just the vibe of the track that I liked most.

  14. BIg up gents for grabbing the download and taking the time to listen. Its always a good feeling when people appreciate what gets put out there.
  15. I broke a rane fader. The clear plastic on the carrier cracked and broke. I wasnt even doing anything special, just cutting. Rane were really good at the time and replaced if for free and quickly. A friend contacted me recently to say his broke and that inmusic have not been so helpful and want to charge for a replacement carrier that could take 1 month to ship !? So, for an indestructible looking carrier for the 62 and not having to deal with inmusic the infinity fader might be worth a shout. The only reservation it that it looks pretty heavy and i'm not sure if that's a great thing. Also, sucky name. It's not a fader it's a carrier.
  16. A while back Sy was asked to curate a scratch wax release for Higher Level Mastering as a reward for their kickstarter campaign. It got released as a double pack of clear plastic dubplates. Very few people actually bought copies of the record. A bunch a people contributed to make the wax and we thought it was pretty good so we re-released it as a free digi download to get it out into the scratchernetz. https://cutandpasterecords.bandcamp.com/album/shuriken-kuts Shuriken Kuts - Scratch Sentence 133BPM 00:46Shuriken Kuts - Scratch Sentence 83BPM 00:39Ritchie Ruftone - Handle the Whole Weight Routine - Deck A 00:27Ritchie Ruftone - Handle the Whole Weight Routine - Deck B 00:45Muzzell - Drum Juggle Sentence 02:49Symatic & Mirapid - Shuriken 03:42Sxcriptures - Bongos 03:16Kutclass - Scams Dope 04:18Kutclass - HnS 03:56Shuriken Kuts - Short Scratch Sentance 00:21Muzzell - Short Scratch Sentance Loop UltraPitch 00:14
  17. That was a super sick weekend, i never get tired of saying "that was the best SSS yet" after each SSS. One of Olli's friend captured some showcase footage on a fancy 4k 360 camera - will be interesting to see what that looks like ! BTW - If you have any footage to share that not up, please post it up in here or facebook or upload it and send the link to "Superscratch Sunday" on FB and we can add it to Paul's edit.
  18. West Dj were pretty decent when i popped in looking for a m447 stylus. They had run out so opened a packaged Cart+Stylus and sold me just the stylus....
