dextrous
Are you using a pre amp or going into a phono stage of an amp?
d00ban
Are you using a pre amp or going into a phono stage of an amp? Im really not sure. i think its going through a phono stage. ive got my computer going thru that. But dunt matter whether i put it thru phono, aux or tuner or anything jus sounds really quiet. My amps called a cambridge audio A1 intergrated amp
x2k
The record player HAS to go straight into the PHONO input.

texas pete
what outputs are you taking out the back of the mixer? when i tried recording from my mixer i used the wrong output and it was really quiet! try seeing if there is a rec. out rather than the standard out
dextrous
Computer soundcards very rarely have a phono input. They are line inputs. You need a phono preamp which as said could be provided by a mixer.

rygon
grounding=earthingmaybe check the vol levels on the pc. Check you connections on the needle. If its only coming out of one speaker swap the cables around..does that make a difference??
