Blak Randy
Everytime I have heard anything by Zappa I have always loved it but I have realised I know virtually nothing by him. Are there any Franz Zappa fans that could suggest a good place to start. A good album or something. Thank You
Wax On
i don't know a lot of his stuff, but hot rats is a pretty good album. Check any lists like on amazon to see what the best few are. Its always tricky to buy the right stuff when its an artist thats done 20 odd albums or whatever. He's a fuckin awesome guitarist.

namelesswon
There is alot of satire in his music as well as a technical and experimental virtuosity. I suggest We're Only In It For the Money as you if you have a broad pallette you may get the references and parodies. Hot Rats has been sampled the most but Apostrophe is worth checking too. Also check out the youtube stuff theres some amazing shit from the early 60s when he was doing avante gard stuff, theres a clip where hes on some talk show playing a bicycle to everybody's derision. check out Cap Beefheart too, the Magic Band still tour if you ever get the chance.
