howdy Matt, you can't really go wrong with Sony or Samsung...

The absolute best pace to buy is here.. www.digitaldirect.co.uk I bought a 32" sony bravia LCD tv for £435 + £27 P+P over £200 cheaper than any deal in the shops..

good luck

i don't know about the bravias because ive been hearing good things about them but ive had 2 sony tvs crap out on me.

they both basically turned into wonky vision with sound randomly cutting out and then eventually the tv just used to turn itself off and turn itself back on with the volume on the max.

Any sony LCD ( just not the "M" series) or Samsung LCD will be fine, the samsung you posted should be fine, if you're willing to spend more, you could get a 1080p tv which will have a higher resolution (1920 x 1080) the one you are looking at is (1366 x 768). Do you plan on watching a lot of sports? Then I would recommend getting a TV with 120HZ, aka 120 frames per second, unfortunately the price goes up alot for those types.

Ideally I would recommend this tv since it's a Full HD (1080p) picture and also 120HZ, I've sold this tv ALOT and all of my customers have loved it. http://www.pixmania.co.uk/uk/uk/669922/art...m=41#tech-specs

if you're looking to keep the price low this would be fine http://www.pixmania.co.uk/uk/uk/686273/art...000-lcd-te.html

Get it here Matt: -

http://www.play.com/Electronics/Electronic...TV/Product.html

£499.99 but delivery is free, so it's cheaper than anywhere else I've seen it once you add P&P.

My parents have the smaller version of that set. It's a really nice TV, although lacking full 1080p as Mixo said.

This is a good TV for £100 more: -

Same screen size, but it has full 1080p and a better contrast ratio. If those things don't bother you, then the Samsung is a good choice though.

Get a free Quidco account (see my post in Freestyle) and you'll get 4% cashback if you buy from Play.com. Not a huge amount, but it's better than a kick in the knackers!
