I;ve noticed n laod of vids that lots of sick DJ's seeem to have huge mirrors setup behind their decks ? I'm wondering why though ? It is a performance thing , so you can see what the audience see kinda thing , or is it any good for improving technique ?

I remember reading somewhere that some guys use it when they're trying to copy stuff off vids and DVDs, where the DJ is cutting opposite to how they cut (left hand fader or vice versa). WIth the mirror, they try to mimic exactly what they see on the vid.

Better than looking at a wall.

Lets you watch your own techniques from the front.

If you're cutting with others it allows you to see exactly what they're doing without leaning over their shoulder and generally getting in the way.

It allows you to rehearse for stage presence if you're interested in that sought of thing. If you ever perform on stage you ought to be.

Because it's double cool as fuck obviously.
