4/4 timing means 4 beats to a bar. If you had a vocal sample at the same speed over 4 beats it would work...if its faster and lasts only 3 beats then scratch it for the fist beat and let it play for the remaining 3 beats..thus it will finish on the 4th beat...this sometimes work...if not slow it down to fit in with the 4 beats

i have XP with no service packs...ive just bought a 250gb hard drive but xp only sees it as 127gb because thats as high as it goes without any srvice packs...so i need a xp disc making with the service packs installed...cheers for the eply i'll have a go with both

actually thinking about it...now that i have sp2 on my hhd...is ther anyway to make a partition with the unformatted space whats left??

does anyone know where i can get one which is safe (ie no virus' etc) got xp original and have a new hdd which is 250gb...which xp doesnt recognise until sp1. tried to integrate xp with sp2 but once burned i cannot get it work (sees it as a 1.44"???!?) any help??

its definately down to the user in how good it will be. if they use it to mix one song into another and thats it then its gonna be shity..whereas using it as a tool when decks wouldnt work (me thinking of radio soulwax mixes) then its sound amazing.

ive had the tv cable thing for 6weeks now and the mostly watched channel is xfm (and yes i do sometimes sit there and watch in awe with the letters coming and going as if by magic)

i dont know anything about game stations but i thought that hdmi would come as standard for anything that goes with hdtv...bit of a rip off having to pay more

first time in mnths ive tried doing a decent mix and ive manged 4 tracks which blend well together and sound pretty damn cool...i used to be able to do it all the time but after 5mnths off just getting the hang of it...but it made my heart beat go up and gave me that buzz which is worth all the effort

havent got thos carts ut does sound wrong..r u using the head shell weight..if so get rid...also 3g sound a hell of a lot to use..try 1.5g then work you way up until you find it doesnt skip as much

i think it needs a clean out and remove stuff which hasnt been used in yrs

may work depending on how much they charge and it would be better if once you reached the amount which the software would normally cost then they give you the complete package and not charge anymore

Ive had to do a mix live without headphones before (recently actually). When trying to cue the next record up the headphones would only play the master output for some reason. managed to hear a little bit of the next record (easier by just listening to the headshell in the end) and then dropping it in with just the highs every so often and beat matching that way....only took a few seconds to get it mostly beatmatched then a further 10-20secs to get it finely tuned

ibve got an empath and the xfader is great for cutting (as well as the 2 outer upfaders). eqs are really nice to use as well although im not sure if the dry/wet pan does much (seems only to lower the sound without doing much else). Theres an auto sound level which is not worth having. all in all money well spent as the quality of the eqs/faders/build is 2nd to none If you seriously looking for one ask xander for a price as ive found him to be the best (even with living in uk and tax being added on)

how many isps would go for this though...they know that ppl use the internet for d/l free music etc and if they had to find out who exactly did that and disconnect them, how many customers and money would they lose. I think they would say its the riaa's problem let them sort it out. Cant see how they could legally make them do it anyway. Also, with pirated films, i much prefer these due to the fact that legally bought cds have so much crap at the start that you cant skip. if that was removed then i would definately buy more dvds
