  1. When I use the lift lever on my 12's, and move the tonearm from side to side - it's bouncy and moves freely. They weren't like this when I got them - how would I tighten them? Should I just adjust the screw on top of the tonearm, or will that destroy my anti-skate mechanism if done improperly? :s Thx DV!

  3. I've heard the EFX-1000's sound quality isn't too much better than that of its predecessor. :s The Allen & Heath Xone VF-1 Analogue filter is very nice - it sounds incredible! So many decisions out there today.
  4. I walked into a game store, and some kid and his friend exclaimed how they finished it in one day.
  5. Would it be more cost effective for you to order from the U.S.? I paid around $130 USD for mine from Northern Sound & Light - the cases aren't made until you order, so it takes a while. About three to four weeks altogether.
  6. The Virus C was something I stumbled upon while I was on Access. I was actually just marveling at the TI - the sounds it produces are punchy - it sounded really good at GC. All I want is to replace my current keyboard (it's a piece of...). This will be my first synth, and as far as presets go, I certainly wouldn't mind using them - but I'm sure there are patches available. The main use of a synth for me would be in creating EDM - Electro-House type music. I've always enjoyed playing jingles on my keyboard - a synth would be good for experimentation. Is there anything else you'd suggest for a first-timer?
  7. The C (see above) was replaced by the TI (see below) line last year. I want one, and was told that I could find one in good condition for $1100. But the person offering this proposition to me stated - "I have not seen this before." :s The average age of the C line is maybe four or five years old - are the C's still considered a 'good purchase'; are there any other keyboards I should look into? Thanks.

  9. IDK what a BT dongle is (LOL sounds like a black dildo), but all it needs is a mini usb to regular usb cable, just like most standard digital cameras use.
  10. On the Razr v3c (Verizon's version) - negative on expandable memory - but it does hold mp3's. On the Moto. Krzr (the next level Razr - el-oh-el) - yes - storage is expandable and can be used for music. You can also use a BT dongle (about $20.00 USD) to connect your phone to a PC/ Mac. Maybe that's your m8's evil twin!
  13. Nah, there's loads of smart people on here! One thing that impresses me about this place is that most people have got something intellegent to add, that's pretty rare on the 'net these days Word. There are different types of intelligence, I think. Most people can be some areas, and very stupid in others.
  14. I have the Razr (v3c) on Verizon. The phone itself is nice - but Verizon's user interface is slow. (I haven't upgraded the software yet). The slim fit makes it fit in my jeans nicely.
  15. Ah, yes - Livermore. I was there a few weeks back. Nothing but windmills.
  16. The 56 is amazing with the spring mod. Don't take the spring off, just loosen it. It cuts like a dream.
  17. I've got some .mdl files from lab that I need to be opened. I couldn't find a program which does so; is .mdl a proprietary file format?
  18. DJ gear costs twice as much in England man. A 56 would cost you £475 (over $900) and that price has been reduced more than once. I always believed the £ was stronger than the $. I read a while back that a lot of Europeans came to the States to buy homes, and they said it was "cheap." Guess that clears it up.
  19. 400 quid is almost $800 USD? Not worth it. You can get a 1200 (preowned) and 56 for that price. If you're low on space - go for it!
