  2. The TTM 56 is one of the greatest mixers out there. I'm not up to date about the Rodec Scratchbox, Ecler HAK 380 and the Vestax PMC 08 but the Rane is the first mixer where I didn't have the feel I'm missing out on something important.
  3. Jaguar Skills & Lord Basis Supreme-Hip Hop Odyssey (the 800 tracks in 48 mins. mix)
  4. RIP, I saw it on the news this morning. Big loss for music
  5. I noticed I won't get an e-mail notification anymore when I receive a PM but I also noticed that the last PM's I received were replies and not new ones. Maybe it has something to with it? Fuck Christmas, hail Satan
  6. use winamp with the mp3splice plugin and it loops perfectly, end of!
  7. I got all of them except for the fist Scratchcon vid and that Thud Rumble vid but as in diggla's case most of them are dubs (some good 1st generation, some not too good)
  8. yeah, I've checked gzvinyl too but they also only do regular stuff (my band had a couple 7" releases pressed by them). The reason I was asking is because we will record some test tracks in the studio in January (for free) and I thought about putting them out on 5" since our songs are pretty short (max. 2 minutes). I'll find someone eventually.
  9. werd up. I remember I saw something on TV about chocolate records too.
  10. http://www.kk.org/streetuse/archives/2006/...sound_recor.php Does anyone know if flexies were cut similar to acetates or vinyl cuts? I'd love to release a record like this.
  11. nah, they just do regular sizes and vinyl cutting
  12. ha, in fact they are American. Prolly thought they were British since most of their stuff came out on Big Dada.
  13. alright, I will enter the studio with my band somewhen soon. My idea was to release a split 5" or even 4" record. Does anyone know a pressing plant that can do this? Preferably in Germany or Europe. I have a couple 5" records, so there must be someone out there who does them. Most pressing plants I've checked out sofar only do the usual 7", 10", 12" stuff.
  14. check out the Spank Rock album if you're looking for some weird stuff. Don't forget about the old school heroes like Blade, Hijack, Gunshot etc. Woody made a dope mix of old school UK hip hop some years ago.
  15. how bout Bzalecta nice beats, I like no. 3 & 4 the most

dr. divx will do the trick
  17. the only song I can remember off the head is Tres Leches by Big Pun feat. Rebel INS and RZA or some shit. And some Rakim song has the first "remember me" line (title escapes me)
  18. killer show, was well surprised! I won two tickets by coincidence (got a call today at 6:30 pm with some crazy dude telling me the show starts at 8 pm), so I just went there with two friends. Unfortunately not many people showed up but hey, who gives a shit really. They pretty much ripped it, MUCH better than their records which sound too much like House to me. Their live show was dope ass P-Funk/electronic funk, live drummer, three korgs, two synthies, bongos, two vocalists and lots of other small things in between. Don't miss em when they play in your town. This track captures their live performance pretty well, opposed to the rest of the record, I'm afraid but still, they were tons of times better live
  19. I'd buy these plastic "stars" that you pry in the large center holes. I bought a bag of these for like 2 Euros. No need for adapters anymore. I have so many I could even send you a couple.
  20. I would go with any router that has WPA encryption. I've been told that MAC address filters can be cracked easily (not an expert in this) but WPA is seemingly the best encryption method these days. You can always use the MAC filter on top of that. Also make sure you hide your SSiD after you have first logged on with your devices. Since you want to connect several computers/consoles etc. you need a router that has a port switch. I bought one of those dodgy T-Online routers for 27 Euros but it has everything I need. it even comes with a USB port so I could use that as a print server or for a shared USB harddrive. My computer's still wired, I just use WLAN for the notebook.

    Doppelganger

good lookin out. and btw it's Doppelgänger
  22. FLOL at MTV awards losing credibility.
  23. a friend of mine has a QFO. It's fun to cut on it but it's essentially just a PDX 2000 combined with an 05 Pro. As for the space issue, it doesn't really take up amazingly less space than a turntable and a mixer.
  24. gun oil, sewing machine oil etc. will all work but more dirt will catch on it. I bought a 5ml tube of the droplets about three years ago or some shit and I still got more than half of it left. Dirt will eventually catch on the rails with the droplets too but it's far less than with oil, at least in my experience. The spray is more like contact spray, if you wanna use Cailube, buy the droplets. Also when you clean the faders, make sure you especially clean the part the rails go through (you know, the one with the magnet etc.) as most of the dirt is in there
  25. I didn't really like Audition 2.0 that much, let alone it's about 10 times the size of 1.5... The multiband compressor ain't that good. I just stayed with 1.5 with some VSTs, works for me.
