Steve Posted September 10, 2004 Share Posted September 10, 2004 In theory yes. Norton is the worst resource hog out of all of the major AV products though. The updates are also infrequent compared to Kaspersky's that update about every 3 or 4 hours. KAV protects agains 102,718 different viruses. I would stake my life that Norton is nowhere near that. Running two AV products means that everything gets scanned twice. That's a bit pointless. If I were you I would either uninstall KAV and keep Norton, or uninstall the entire NIS suite, keep KAV and install a better firewall like Sygate Pro. I would go for the latter option.
