New site for uploading files

Much better interface than YouSendIt. It has a progress bar and tells you the estimated time remaining, as well as showing you the current upload speed. I can't find any information on the site about how long files stay active for or the amount of downloads allowed, but if you check out THIS link to a file (dunno what it is) you'll see it's been downloaded nearly 15,000 times already. This looks really promising!

The file size limit is 500MB too.

I had another look and this appears to be the YouShareIt site under a new name. If you click any old YouShareIt links, it takes you here. I dunno what it is, but the uploads just won't work for me. I tried it a couple of times and it got to 97% and froze. :(

I would strongly recommend NOT using this to be honest mate. I've tried to upload several times and maybe 1 in 5 worked - all the larger files I've tried didn't work. Also, I've had a lot of trouble getting files that other people have uploaded to download. Either I click the button and nothing happens, or I get a huge page of code instead of the file.

If you want something that works then use YouSendIt: -

You're limited to 25 downloads or 7 days on the server (whichever comes first) but it works most of the time.

MegaUpload has been OK for me. At first it didn't work, but I tried some small files and they uploaded fine. This was about a week ago and the links are still there.

MegaUpload used to be YouShareIt, right?

You can also try http://rapidshare.de/

The site is in german, but easy to handle I think.

The upload limit is 50 MB.

There´s NO download limit.

The files are hosted forever or will get deleted if the link is not used for 30 days.

Here´s how it works:

If you want to upload something:

Click on "Durchsuchen" to search the file you want.

Then click on "Ins Internet stellen" to upload the file.

After the upload is done you´ll get 2 links: 1 for downloading and 1 if you want to delete the file.

If you want to download:

Click on the link and go down to the bottom of the site.

Click on the "Free" button.

The go again to the bottom of the site and wait till the time has count to

0.

Then you should see the downlaod link.

Here´s one I uploaded:
