Steve
The digital versions of these albums are being released shortly.
Steve
Both albums are out digitally for people who pre-ordered via Kickstarter. You get the choice of 320 Kbps or 24 bit WAVs (or both if you like) and Wave Twisters is thrown in as well (MP3 only though).

Steve
I like Extraterrestria, but I wouldn't call it a sequel to Wave Twisters as that was a soundtrack with a theme running through it and it was packed full of wacky samples. This isn't really like that. Track 1 sounds like it could have been included on Wave Twisters, but on about 3 of the 12 tracks the main focus is ahhhhhhhh cutting. It's an album for Qbert fans basically - I know that sounds silly, but Q's style has developed into something quite unique with all the "warbly" strange sounding scratching he does, along with drum scratching that is signature Qbert. My description of it sounds pretty "meh", haha, but I think it's a good album! My favourite track on it is probably Spectre: - http://www9.zippyshare.com/v/86190545/file.html I encoded that in pretty low quality deliberately, but it sounds good enough so you can check it out. As for GalaXXXian, I'm less taken with that. A couple of the tracks have already been released on other albums, plus that remix that Qbert did of an A-Trak tune is on there too. I'm a fan of Kool Keith, but the beat on that track is one that Qbert has cut over a bunch of times in live performances. It's just not really my style of hip-hop and outside of Kool Keith I'm not a massive fan of any of the MCs he's worked with.

mfsop
Damn, that's bad news.. Hope you can sort some of the issues out - still three weeks to go. I'll try to record parts of the session or showcase, at least.

d00ban
Extraterrestria is actually pretty dope from listening to that. May be as you'd managed my expectations a bit I think it's better.
Guest broke
I gave them both a couple of listens yesterday on Spotify and I think I like the cuts on Galaxxxian more. Extraterrestria sounds a little like the soundtrack to some acid-laced yoga session. Drum cuts were nuts though.

Steve
I was wondering what was up with the Kickstarter records as they still haven't been sent out, so I tweeted Qbert to ask. He DMed me some pics: - http://i.imgur.com/ArKNmYP.jpg http://i.imgur.com/f7bmQ4m.jpg http://i.imgur.com/Mv7keId.jpg http://i.imgur.com/yQZTYcP.jpg Looking good. They should be shipping out soon. Steve
I've still received nothing from this Kickstarter. The expected shipping date was June 2014. It's now June 2015. I'm not too bothered about delays if I'm kept up to date, but what's annoying is, I haven't received a single email or message from Thud Rumble about this since the Kickstarter ended. To be fair, I have tweeted Qbert a couple of times about this and he's always responded via direct message and chatted to me about it, but if you're going to run a Kickstarter, communicate effectively with your backers via Kickstarter itself! Steve
Haha! I'd love to see Anne Robinson grilling Qbert and Yoga Frog on Watchdog.
Deft
Conversely I've always wanted a job where I could go on a show and endlessly and pointlessly apologise. "I'm so sorry Mr X did not receive the service he wanted, we will try harder in the future and have improved staff training in this area". NEXT!
