Nuno
http://www.deejay.ae/archives/2855What do you think? They're pretty ugly, tbh, and overpriced, as usual.
Jon
I'd have to try one out before i judge them but they do look really ugly.
Jon
New Vajra video demoing it but uses the dicers more than the mixer. I don't think he touches anything other than crossfader in the whole vid. Sick skills though.
jopa.
i thought the 61 looked alright... but whats up with these magnetic faders? i thought ranes came with the p&g faders.
Jimmy
that purple one is a little bold.
Chris
These guys are *awesome*. Jopa, Rane patented their magnetic fader design with the 56 going on ten years ago. imo they're the best faders ever. They feel great, and the buttons are a little weird but they're very well designed from an ergonomic perspective and they will last forever - pretty much totally. I've been told they're tested to 5mil cycles.

ericuk
tasty demo, but he could have done that on a lot of mixers.
Jon
Yeah, he could have performed it on any mixer with dj adjustable fader curve. It's like he's recorded a product video for dicers and they named the video incorrectly
Guest Symatic
they're gonna be well expensive....

Jon
I love the routine though, really tight drumming in the second half.
Wax On
It's definitely a bit ugly, but I don't think they could make it look any better without it being detrimental to the functionality and useability

d00ban
It's too big, it's too quiet, the faders are too light, (plus you had to replace yours) and the way the button to switch headphone settings is annoying - oh and the bag you get with it is shit. There, I said it.
Jimmy
hactually - i had to replace the a plastic plate inside the fader which cuts the infrared signal, it cost me £2 and thats cos i got the wrong type of lube all over it. (lessons learnt!) and the bag is amaze-balls, but the strap is wank haters gonna hate! imo rane fader caps are literally the worst there is
d00ban
Yeah I agree with you the new ones are sucky, the old ones are perfect though. I'm sure I could find some caps somewhere that fit not got round to it. Think the only other thing wrong with the 56 is there are no XLR outputs.
