d00ban
hey guys - just havin to put a skipless style scratch record together for use on serato - want to make samples skipless like superseal etc. does anyone know where i can find the timing data for this so i can plonk the samples in the right time frame in my DAW?! nice. respekt! pz i just searched this and it came up d00t Turntables have 2 speeds: 33 1/3 and 45 rpm. So, to find out how long it takes for the record to do a whole turn, we do this: 60 (seconds)/ RPM for 33 1/3, it'd be: 60 / 33.333.... = 1.8 seconds That's how long it takes for the record to do 1 full turn. We can also find a useful BPM to work with by multiplying the RPM by the number of beats we want in a bar. 33.333....*4 = 133.33 BPM So, if we set our sequencer to 133.33 BPM and mark the control vinyl at the point where the control signal starts, every 1st beat of a bar will match with the mark and every bar will be a full turn. Check this video and notice how everytime the middle mark goes by 12 o'clock, you can hear the kick, then when it goes by 3 o'clock, the synth starts. x2k
or just stick serato in to relative mode and set cue point to the first five mins of the control record
