Phology
Adobe Audition/Cool Edit is gud for doin stuff like likewats Vegas like Gabe??
Steve
I use Cool Edit cos it's so easy to use. You can import your song into track 1, then use any of the other tracks to add cuts or samples over the top. Then just export the whole lot as a mixdown so it's one file and you're sorted. Clownstyle
Cool edit is now adobe audition. I recommend you get the adobe one....Its more stable.
Steve
Yeah, I'm only using the old one cos a lot of the menus have changed in Audition. If you have never used any then get Audition cos it's more stable and has a few extra features. The main layout is also better IMO.

JHouse
Could someone hook me up with Audition? It would be mighty appreciated. Thanks.
Steve
If you use BitTorrent then you can get it from Suprnova mate. The site is down at the moment though. If you don't, give me a shout and I'll upload it. Mixo was after it too.
JHouse
Thanks man. I assume BitTorent is a file sharing program? I could dload the program, however, I already have Soulseek so maybe I'll just look on there. Thanks.

FlipFlop
Adobe Audition is pretty user friendly and easy to use....one feature i really like is when your comp feels it needs to fuck you over in the middle of a recording or anything and just totally shuts off on you....the program has already saved the file so you can start right where you left off. Max
Somehow Cooledit didn't completely change though. There is a Cooledit Pro 2.0, and from what I can tell it's identical to Audition. I wonder what happened.
Chee
Adobe bought out Syntrillium, the developers of Cool Edit. Audition 1.0 was pretty much identical to Cool Edit 2.1 (or whatever the last version was). But Audition 1.5 is definitely an upgrade. Things have been tweaked, some features have been added. I managed to edit the sound for a short film a friend was making on it, as it also has rudimentary support for video now.

Sideshow
i have soundforge+ cubase, i also have adobe audition installed but only ever use it if i need to convert things in a batch, i don't think sound forge does itthat's all though - soundforge is miles better for just editing samples i think
