Steve
If everyone names a couple of things they like and a couple of things they don't like, then we can try and work towards making the place better. Don't be afraid to speak up if you think something's shit!
Guest Ryan
I like it better than the other board. It's brighter obviously.. i think the grey one was bringing me down ha.

Rick Flarez
Am I the only person for whom the thread titles are cut off at the bottom in the actual thread? That's driving me mad!
Steve
I'm not sure what you mean mate.

Guest Deeswift
OK mate, see you on SLSK in a minute. Mine's loaded up and I'm waiting dood.
Guest Deeswift
OK, here's the problem. I have no idea why this is happening... only thing I can think of is your resolution which you say is at 800 X something or other. Go higher and see if it changes anything. Steve
I'm on 800X600 now and it's working OK. Which browser are you using Rick? If it's IE, is it the latest version? If not then I dunno what could be causing it mate - seems to be unique to you!
Steve
Thinking about it, it could be the encoding language which you can change in IE by going to View then Encoding. Before you mess with it though, what's it set on now?
Rick Flarez
i don't know, but i'm using a very old ie. i'll update soon enough, untill then don't worry about it.

Rick Flarez
It's fine in firefox, but i'm not sure how much i like firefox. I might have to grin and bear cut off thread titles. I have a firefox question now though. When firefox was importing my "bookmarks" my computer crashed so it didn't complete the action and now I can't figure out how to make it do it. Anyone know how? Rick Flarez
Actually it's cool, i got that sorted, but i've got another question - how do i clear the address bar thingy. and then i'll let the thread gt back on topic, i promise.
Guest Deeswift
Don't worry man, I can clean the thread later. OK, you can clear the URL bar 2 ways: Go to Tools > Option > Privacy and do it from there, or install an extension called X-Kiosk which does it in one click. Details are in the Firefox thread in DVKB. Any help you need mate, just ask in there and I'll see it.

Guest Deeswift
Cool. Spend some time with Firefox and see what it can do. You'll quickly get used to it. Here's a ton of extensions: http://update.mozilla.org/extensions/showl...=firefox&numpg=
Steve
Whichever browser you use Rick you should still get all the Windows updates. You'll have to use IE to do that so update it to version 6 at the same time. Are you running XP btw?
Rick Flarez
Firefox seems dope, really user friendly and customisable, i reckon i'll like it a lot. hehe, i'm running windows '98 and i'm sure the oldest imaginable IE.
