Rick Flarez
A lot of the early nineties stuff is most enduring to me, it has a balance of fun, jazzy funky production and the emceeing was just getting a bit technical. In 97 I thought the company flow album was the most incredible thing ever but I don't think it's aged as well as stuff like Show & AG - Runaway Slave, KMD - Black Bastards and Illmatic. I have a feeling that I'll look back on now as a great era too though, mainly because Busdriver is at the height of his powers and doing amazing stuff, IMO. Gizmo
Ya'll know just how old I am so the older the better for me. I liked Hip Hop when it was more about having a good time and actually being able to dance - even if you couldn't. For me - Big Daddy Kane is the man. And anything that allows me to roll out the lino and feel good about it is cool. Check out "the Freshest Kids" DVD for where it's really at. Oh and hello everyone. Skratchworx up in this place.
