I had a listen. I didnt like the choice of samples and for scratching a whole track ur choice of samples has to be good. Its sorta like when someone makes a beat on a little casio keyboard no matter how sick the sequence is it will sound wack because of the sounds it has. Im not saying your song was wack but I think you need better samples. As for the structure it sounded too random, I dont know if you ever make a song it has some kind of base to it this was all over the place but the ideas are there. I mean it was one of your first tries just keep doing. I tell you this much i dont think i could do that, never tried. Just keep working at it.

if youre going to be gigging which i did before school started having a small laptop really helped. If this is at home or something then just get a laptop with allright specs. You dont need super specs to run serato its pretty stable on its own. And you do not need a Mac to be more stable thats total shit. You just need to know how to take care of your comp. I guarentee most computer crashes are user fault. Anyways i use a Vaio pentium M 1.6 GHz 512 Mb of RAM. Never has crashed on me and ive used serato for hours on end in a club and at home.

The first 3-5 seconds were good and there are bits and bobs that are good and are what you should try to go for. youve gotten alot better but youre trying to do too much the basics mayn the basics. Other than that youre improving but practice practice practice.

yea man you need serato. how the hell do i miss all these things.. anyways shits sounding sick. And i agree with lorn then again if you keep that chill of a vibe on this mix it would work but I doubt youll do a whole chill mix like this. anyways hurry and finish it mayyyn. great stuff

it has its good parts man, nice stuff. Im in the same boat as you but I noticed when I take long breaks from scratching it gets me away from doing the same thing over and over so I always either learn a new scratch or I get a better flow. Either way good stuff

allright So heres a song me and a buddy have been working on. Its far from done but im kind of stuck for ideas. Thinking about adding a Sax part, either live or sampled. Almoust everything but the drums are real. Also thinking about adding some cuts to it... well see. Let me know what you guys think. I thought it was cool except for that annoying and sometimes painful high pitched robotic like sound. GOD DAMNN. haha i couldnt stand listening to the song after like a half a minute of that sound. But other than that it sounded cool to me, i likedted it.

ok so this what I have been working on with a buddy of mine and its not done (ie. might throw in some cuts and definitely gonna get a singer for this) but I really like it and its one of our better songs.
