  1. I still can't get uzi's down. I can do them by themselves really well, but I can't smoothly transition into them or out to another technique, its like I need a beat or two to tense up enough My forward tears are also shit
  2. Really like this! Love the transitions between the samples. How long you been cutting for?
  3. Apple said the new Intel Macs will run Windows and Linux fine, but you won't be able to put OSX on any old PC, only Apple's. I can understand why they're doing it, they make 45% of their money off hardware and got burned by teh clones before, but its a shame I can't just stick it on my PC at work. My Mac at homes still good for a couple years yet, will be interesting to see what happens
  4. the record movement ratio between continuous delayed 2 clicker and a continuos 2 click orbit is 3:1. same clicks, but different record movement. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Cool, thats how I understand it. I found a wicked sounding variation on what is above is to pull back on the forward with clicks at both ends, so the 'baby' part is always going forwards rather than alternating direction. So you get... freshserf-fres-fresherf-fres- ...instead of... freshserf-fres-hserfres-sref- Hope that made sense
  5. Wow nice files, man! Loads of nice patterns, inpsiring stuff. What beat where you using in New and Late Nite?
  6. FLOL 1:04 made me spit my lunch all over my monitor I'll post something up later...
  7. Mine should already be fully controllable via Midi, so you can use footpedals and stuff if you want. You need to have your host set up to route the midi to the right places tho, I'll try and post up a Logic preset tonight. The only thing right now is that the GUI won't show responses to midi messages, even though the plugin running underneath will, Imma sort that out soon though. Cheers for the pointer Mixologist I'll try out Ambiloop tonight!
  8. Being a nerd and also being a cheap one who can't afford a BOSS RC20 or anything like that I started writing a software emulation of one ages ago. Its finally in a usable state, and you can download it here... LoopStashen Should work fine in any AudioUnit host like Logic or Cubase or whatever. If you've got Tiger install the Developer tools! They come with an ace program called AULab which is basically just the channel strip for Logic. On that page is a link to a preset which should load up AULab with your audio-in going into the Looper plugin. Just make sure you stick the plug-in in <your home directory/Library/Audio/Plug-ins/Components/! Its like a RC20 except its got 8 channels that can be recorded to individually, and you can change the volume on them and solo them and all that. Plus you can delete individual channels too so you don't have to start again just cos you muffed your hihats Features to be added are a button to merge tracks together so once you are happy with them they don't waste space, and also an option to save and load the contents of each channel to disk. Also make it look nicer and generally be better! Sorry it's Mac only, but I'm working with a mate on getting a Windows version going too, if anyones interested
  9. Number 3 has the most loops on it I like to cut to, theres four or five in this one I really like. He needs to sort out his treble tho, those hihats of his hurt my ears!
  10. I know what you mean, thats what I try to do. The problem is, when I'm listening to stuff at work or on the bus or whatever I have all kinds of crazy patterns and combos going through my head, and I get all hyped up haha...but the second I get in front of my tables, my mind just goes totally blank. I think its cos I get kinda self concious or something
  11. You've only been cutting ~2 years? Damn! I've been cutting a little over 3 years and my phrasing sucks in comparison. But dope file regardless of how long you've been cutting.
  12. Nice one cgroove! This site is ace for breaks too!
  13. I only go to D-Style's board for a laugh and the odd file, nothing more. Asisphonics can be cool but theres still too much shit talking and pointless drama. Just about every discussion descends into bitchfests about Rucker, being a hater or not being next level. If find this place the most useful, even though I don't post much
  14. haha no I don't think about that stuff when I'm doing it either, but you got to get it across somehow. When I'm scratching I only think about the sounds and the rhythms I want, never 'right I want to do a 4 click reverse chirp sodflare next' or whatever. If I'm scratching well I kinda send the sound I want to hear to my hands, not the movements required to execute it, if that makes sense :s
