  1. All I know is: Ultra pitch is essential if you're really into scratching The ratio of scratch to mix DJ is probably about 1,000 - 1 Sales figures are king in manufacturing That is all! pz
  2. God dammit I hate this age old versatility of the turntable bollocks. I mean, they're not are they, in a musical sense anyway. It's bollocks, sorry! Why is it that anybody who's ever played a musical instrument seems to be sceptical of the turntables potential as an instrument where as those that haven't seem to have formed the opposite opinion? The music created using turntables and turntable manipulation alone is incredibly limited IMHO. That's not to say limitation is a bad thing however, in fact, limitation can often invoke more creativity in a sense but at the end of the day all that's going on with this shit is that the Sampler is being replace by the DJ and I think the sampler does a much better job. pz
  3. Another potentially decent turntable bites the dust thanks to shitty buggy build. Fuck me Technics, increase the pitch range you set of FUCKS!!! Ahem, excuse me. pz
  4. Fandabby Dozie! Mowgli, hows about you invoke a spurt of posting madness by starting a thread that's worth responding too yourself? Or should we just do that instead? You get where I'm coming from?! pz
  5. ........Yeah, that was it, I was gonna say the inlay booky thing's got the lyrics like the Vinyl LP did, shit man the first to paragraphs of lyrics for 'Too High' made me piss: Dodo do do do dodo Do do dodo do dodo Dodo dodo do do Dodo do do do dodo Do do do do dodo do Dodo dodo dodo !!!! What a fucking dood! That is all! pz
  6. Dee man you're gonna love me for this!!: Steven Wunderbar - Inner Visions (digitally re-mastered) so I can have better quality on my MP3 playa, the vinyl sounds wank when converted to MP3. I actually felt good about paying money for music, summit I'm not used to these days!!! The last CD I bought was by 'Hyenas in the Desert' and was called 'Die Laughing'. Man I wish I could get that on vinyl! Errr, not sure where I'm going with this one, man I need some green...... pz
  7. I think when you first start out it's really beneficial to concentrate on getting techniques down, even if it means scratching without a beat at first if you find it easier. Once you've got a few techniques then you can start to try to piece things together. One thing I always say about Practice is that it's only really beneficial if you've passed the stage of warming up. This is the best time for learning new tech as it seems your hands actually do exactly what you want them too! The problem of this is that it takes most people AGES to warm up. I reckon it takes me about 1 1/2 hours of constant or 3 hrs of Q & A scratching to be fully warmed up which is no joke, really, it's not funny!!!
  8. I think it's Hoodlum man, I'll have a peep on ISONEWS now and see what it's saying.
  9. The point should be that you enjoy doing it. If you don't then there is no point and you probably should have a break, have Kit Kat (Chunky). There's nowt like time away from cutting to get you back into it, as backwards as that may sound...! pz
  10. I got a DVD rip of this game a couple of weeks ago and I've started to wonder if maybe I've got the Beta version 'coz I've noticed some glitches in it recently that I believe would have been ironed out before release (nasty slowdown in specific areas). One particularly obvious glitch is that it only says 'LANCE' on the back right door of Ambulances in the game. Has anybody else got the official PC versions or even a rip that they could have a go of and check to see if it says 'Ambulance' on the back of them and not just 'Lance' so I can decipher if I've got an incomplete version? A really quick easy way to get an ambulance to appear is to kill someone btw! pz
  11. Steve man, you are the dope link master! Nice one dood, I've got summit to read now!
  12. Is there any real difference in sound quality between cheap MP3 playas and exspensive ones (if using the same decent headphones on both) ?
  13. Just thought I'd let everybody know that Huwbeanie is THE MAN!!!! pz
  14. Is there any product in the world that isn't half the price in the US compared to the price in England? I can only think of P&G faders, Tyrells Crisps (sick crisps btw) and maybe Lotus cars! pz
  15. Werd up. You don't try and play a piano concerto with a penny whistle, well, maybe if you're a smack head!! I think ATEOTD the table will have it's application but it won't actually change anything, rather like the QFO really. I think it does deserve to be SLATED to the high heavens tho for no other reason than that Ricci slated the QFO in such a way when he was really taking it's application out of context.......oh yeah, he's a total fucking arse as well of course. "but cut bands have been making some pretty good sounds without the extra gadgetry (see scratch perverts)" Errrrrrr, sorry, I have to completely disagree, non of their stuff sounds anything close to good tome. There's not many saying anything when it comes to turntable music and Ricci's one of few that can almost pull off something remotely listenable. pz
  16. Why don't peeps make more beats that switch up from like 70 to 140 and back? You know like they do in Rock tunes sometimes go half speed for the chorus and then it speeds up all mental again for the verse? That'd be ill as furk. pz
  17. Errr, I'd say if you've done a scratch that already exists with another scratch that already exists then you've put to scratches that exist together!
  18. I purposly left my Super Seal at my mates in Lancaster 'coz I over used it. It made me soooo fucking lazy and after so much use I began to realise that the aaaahhhhs and freshes on there are awful examples. I only really like the 'cut, say what, what, yo, YO! Durrrn!' bit anyway! pz
  19. There a dirt style that's a got a skipless funky dope section, can't remember it's name tho (Steve or Dee will prob know) you might wanna try and get yourself a copy. pz
  20. If you burn the living shit out of the Hee Haw 'That's Right' it's on a par with 'French' and 'Arse' IMHO. I'm getting into sentances more than owt the days tho like 'step in my office' and shit like that, it's just a shame I'm WACK AS FUCK and can't really do much with 'em. pz
  21. I look at the XS-8 and see a mixer with the features of a 360 and the faders of a 310. pz
  22. Of course you can!!! I've got 4 mixers and only 1 turntable! I am completely bonkers tho I suppose! pz

  24. Can I just say that I bought a Vestax 06 off Loop and it came exactly as described, was well packaged and he was a pleasure to deal with. pz
