A Vestax 05pro fell out of the sky into my lap. I've hooked it up and turned it on and there's a hum in the background. It's always there regardless of what you do with the switches or faders. Basically it's fucked. SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO, can it be fixed?! Anybody know anybody who services mixers in West Yorkshire?! Cheers in advance. pz

Yeah man, it all works perfectly and there are plenty enough fader caps for me, I only cut on one side and don't use headphones. That faders really nice aswell, what sort is it? I've never seen one like that before.

This fader is worth the money IMHO, specially when you consider how much P&G's cost (or how much they used to cost when they were decent). It's the best fader I've ever used. pz

Matter - I've just got my phone unbarred after allowing O2 to ream me unlubed for several hours, I'll call you at about 1:30 today 'coz it's been ages and we need to catch up (need to ask about getting to Anfield as well).

This is how to save a pattern that you've layed out already (this explanation is pretty much taken from the manual): 1. Press the Write key once (the key will blink) 2. Rotate the dial to select the pattern number that the data will be saved to 3. Press the Write key once to begin saving. The key will blink and then go dark once all the data is saved .....so let's say you save your pattern to C34 and power down the unit you can power it back up and C34 will have your pattern saved in it..... ....although it would seem from what you say that perhaps this isn't the problem you're having. I get the impression that perhaps you're beating on the synth pads and your wanting the machine to quantize those hits for play back. If that's the case then you really need to read the manual man, it's written pretty well so you shouldn't have much trouble with it. If you haven't got one you can get a PDF off the Korg website. pz

My man's got the MK1 and on that you write just as you say, press the write button once and it starts flashing and then press it again before it stops. I'm seeing my bro tonight and he's got a MK2 so I'll ask him and let you know what he says. pz
