  1. We've seen your ad on gumtree, Dan - no need to re-post it here as well...
  2. Pretty much everything is on sale right now - I've warned you. :)
  3. Too bad that the Stevie Wonder ad isn't real - it would have been hilarious. 😄 https://www.kotaku.com.au/2014/05/sorry-that-crazy-stevie-wonder-atari-poster-is-fake/
  4. This is a neat point and click adventure from about 94 - there's a sequel out now, so they made the first game available for free. If you're into these types of games, it's really good. I like the dystopian atmosphere and corny jokes anyway.
  5. It's really easy to make quite a bit of money... ...by selling those piles of stupid records that you haven't used in years FFS!
  6. These mixers are built like a tank, so a used one might still work perfectly. They have become really cheap nowadays (about $200) because everybody wants to have built-in interfaces and buttons.
  7. If you don't want to spend too much right now, you could also get an older mixer on ebay, for example Pioneer 707, Hak 360 or something along those lines. Those can still compete with new mixers in my opinion. Then once you need an upgrade and know what you want, get a new one or add a Serato box to it.
  8. It's also mandatory to wear these while playing that guitar:
  9. I recently bought this on Steam when it was on sale. It's the perfect game for these winter quarantine times, especially if you dislike Londoners: These twats are constantly complaining, stealing resources and trying to convince people to leave your city.
  10. I really need new needles - my old Concordes have the shitty flat contacts and cause loose connections. Has anyone tried the Fun Generation Concordes? https://www.thomann.de/gb/fun_generation_scratch.htm Are the needles interchangeable with the regular Concordes or am I missing something? It only has 5mV but is the cartridge the limiting factor or would I get a louder signal if I eventually replace the needle with a Ortofon Scratch?
  11. https://www.thomann.de/gb/denon_dj_ds1.htm?ref=intl&shp=eyJjb3VudHJ5IjoiZ2IiLCJjdXJyZW5jeSI6IjQiLCJsYW5ndWFnZSI6ImVuIn0%3D Here are all the other deals: https://www.thomann.de/gb/special_cyberweek.html?ref=intl&shp=eyJjb3VudHJ5IjoiZ2IiLCJjdXJyZW5jeSI6IjQiLCJsYW5ndWFnZSI6ImVuIn0%3D There are also loads of deals on Downloads but I haven't looked into those.
  12. No worries, Steve - we'll just continue our regular chit-chat in your living room while the forum is down. Please PM address.
  13. KRS should start writing for The Guardian. I'll likely place a $60,000 bid on BIG's crown that he won at the annual fair's shooting gallery when he was eleven years old but Deft will probably beat me in the end.
  14. People still scratch? Already three years old but rather new to me:
  15. So the announcement of the Gothic remake made me look up the original game. I bought all three parts here for less than 2€: https://www.instant-gaming.com/en/2361-buy-key-steam-gothic-universe-edition/ It's still a very good RPG in my opinion - great story and atmosphere. You start as a complete nobody and you need to evade trouble in the beginning. This game feels a lot different from recent linear titles where you only encounter enemies that you can beat right away. Finally being able to explore a dangerous area or beating up annoying bullies is pretty rewarding. The controls are a bit clumsy at times but you can get used to it. And there are lots of graphics mod that make it look a lot better. So which other games are still good today? I just remembered Commandos which was also great but very difficult at times.
  16. Oh yeah, that was before they only put cyborg babes on the packaging. While looking for my first graphics card, I found this: https://www.techspot.com/news/84581-you-can-help-turn-lego-3dfx-voodoo-3d.html
  17. https://www.epicgames.com/store/en-US/product/ark/home This seems to be last give-away in the Epic Store. I don't know it but reviews are rather positive.
  18. I've got this older interface and I'm satisfied: https://www.gearank.com/gear/m-audio-m-track-eight-8 The website lists some alternatives but I don't know them. Except for the UMC404 which stopped working after exactly two years, so I can't recommend that one personally.

  20. Did the abundance of nonsensical posts I make on DV give it away?
  21. Nice - only 94 GB. Currently downloading at about 200KB/s. The download should be complete in 130 hours then.
  22. Yeah, this rule is largely unknown - I've read about it online and that's what made us play Monopoly once more. It doesn't change a whole lot about the game though because most people buy a property anyway! After every property has been sold, you just wait for how everything develops. You might as well just roll dice for five hours and see who has the highest sum in the end. Thanks scottie, Monopoly Deal is the name of the card game I mentioned. It's also pretty random and the rules are totally unclear but once you've decided how to play it, it's pretty alright. Sometimes we play Dice 10000 which at least involves some tactics: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dice_10000
