  1. only if u got no friends to play it with! it's true...
  2. ... And 50 Cent's album outsold Juan Atkins - godfather of techno - 's entire discography. It really has piss to do with anything. I really don't see why this opinion-fest still exists today seeing as how its gotten nowhere in the entire history of computing. To say something as general as a computer/operating system is 'wank' really is just a silly statement. I may be a die-hard OSX (I don't care what hardware I use it on) user, but my usage of it has nothing to do with Windows/Linux/*... it does what I need it to do in a way that works for me, so why would I ever need to bash the opposite? I'm with this dude!
  3. Nice collection people, i don't have anything to share here . Good to see that i'm not the only one into these things on my age hahaha.
  4. I've been using rodec for almost all my live on location and these are proper mixers. I'm a belgian so a rodec is much more commen here then a pioneer or A&H. Can't comment on the scratchbox though. I've seen rodecs with full glasses of beer spoiled on them... Stuff just works! Just pointin' out that it is a great company that make great mixers.
  5. I got the cdj 1000's a year ago and i'm more then pleased with them. The performance is great and once you get used to them they are real machines. You can scratch pretty much even good with them, if your scratch skills are moderate. I'm no q and that's probably why i don't care about it . Give them a spin, you'll be suprised by the accuracy of them.
  6. nice find man... really enjoyed it
  7. I'm waiting for the new akai... looks yummie.
  8. Very nice indeed DjK... How's that efx1000 working for you?
  9. Yes, very. I've dropped mine many times - on carpeted floor mind you, but they're very durable. I've had mine since 04, and the only problem would be the left earpad. It's slightly ripped, but you can rotate them - so the tear is now in the front. These totally blow my $30 Sony walkman headphones out of the water... Check it - http://www6.head-fi.org/forums/showthread.php?t=72883 <{POST_SNAPBACK}> That is like the most advanced review of a headphone i ever saw... I had a 25 and it was great.. but it just didn't feel that it could take the punisment that i would put it to. For studio use i'd buy one immidiatly!
  10. depends... For listening mostly studio mixes because most of the time the creative aspect of mixing is overpushed when u are listening to a live mix. Most ppl scratch to often or try to do their best a lil' too much. If it's done right, then it doesn't matter... also depends on the mood i'm in. Most people around here like the studio mixes better. I did enjoy your mixes sigma, btw... never responded to that one. Are they all live or partly studio and some stuff added like you said before.
  11. I ordered Serato and that new technics headphone from xander and everything went how it should! No problems whatsoever and a good and really fast service! I would recommend it to anyone who wants to save some money on gear.
  12. I'dd love to buy one... but i recently bought an 56 and i ordered serato... So we'll see if that works out, and if it does i might upgrade in a year or something.
