Steve
Some of the names mentioned are wicked MCs, but they're certainly not underrated - the D.I.T.C. crew and Redman especially.
Jon
he is the definiton (along with dj lethal) as being the novelty band dj ´´ mate you should not have said that, lethal is the fukin reason i play turntables. I agree that hahn does not do much live, but lethal is much more experimental then most turntablists, apart from being an amzing producer in h.o.p., he does a lot of the beats live, i dont mean pressign a button to add a whole beat, he does whole of some of his drum parts live on stage, watching him do his intro to ´nookie`live is amazing. I could go on for ages about his samples but i don´t have time..... Turntablists in rock bands don´t get any of the respect they deserve, i hope someday i´ll be the one to change that. Mr.Large
1stly.....go for it Rusty... and 2ndly when i was talking about D.I.T.C i wasnt talking in terms of underratedness, just got carried away after someone mentioned them.Same goes for Redman definately and maybe Big L,he woulda been big had he not been shot down. as far as being underrated I'd say alot of Uk artists, but we're slowly gettin there

Most definately -- when Mac Dre died I was like... who's Mac Dre? Same with Big L actually, but that was just my ignorance - had little to do with geography. Redman and D.I.T.C. are highly rated amongst most hip hop heads. Yeah, but a lot of them really suck balls but that was just my ignorance

The experimental part of his stuff was shown on limp´s first album, he ran half his samples through guitar pedals and guitar amps for distortion, and uses a modded line swtch which does two clicks for every click, which kilmore now uses. But nowadays, people are being more adventurous with turntables so he should pick up`the pace :s I do agree that if you were looking at their music as a non skratch dj, you could see him as just being the cool factor or to give the band credibility. Blak Randy
People have a very strange idea of underrated. How can people say Big L is underrated. Ask 10 fans too name their top 10 MCs ever and I bet He'd rate in at least 6 of the lists. And he's fucking dead. Also redman, Lord Finesse ect. They aint underrated. They are excellent MCs but not underrated. @Shawnzilla. Good call on Breezy Brewin. Fucking top choice.

airnino
to me jihad from third sight is the most underrated mc. he's style is quite unique; love his flow. the golden shower hour is from 1998 i believe, and jihad was really years ahead on it. to be honest i'm almost afraid of how ill he's going to on the new third sight lp... i'll stick to this... but would you consider rasco to be underrated? i mean asking me i would say his stuff is absolutly classic, but how do other people think about it?
Mr.Large
spose you gotta realise that we're fans of this music and we've heard of people more than others and vice versa,so who's underrated is purely opinion...unless theyre like Percee P and didnt get an album for like 15 years...
