Ben
Just formatted my pc and reinstalled half life 2. Installed new drivers etc. When i try and load counter strike i get this warning: Video mode warning Failed to set video mode - resetting to defaults. Game will now restart with the new video settings. This message gets stuck in a loop whenever i click ok. Any ideas how to get round this? Guest Deeswift
http://www.ntcompatible.com/half_life_2_error_t32551.html Use driver version 71.89.
Ben
Bingo Apparently, many 5200 users are getting this error with the latest driver (version 77.72). I just downloaded 77.72 So now i guess i'm going to down grade for the sake of CSS
Ben
So now i can actually get onto the menu: Hooray. But then i click on the Find Servers button and it crashes. The clicky noise from selecting the find servers button just repeats on a never ending loop. I've restarted and tried again 4 times. I JUST NEED MY FIX GODDAMN YOU!!! Can anyone help me? Or should i register at a counter strike forum and get called a noob for the rest of this evening?

rygon
i used to have a nvidea card but got all sorts of trouble when i installed the latest drivers. try removing all nvidea drivers from your pc and install the ones you got from the card (or buy a decent card like ati 8500 like i did ...£90 but so much better)
