Ben
I really can't remember how to do it. I kind of remember putting the motherboard driver disk in and then pressing F8 or something on startup to bring up the Bios Setup Utility, but then i don't have a clue what to do. Someone give me a fast reminder please?
Steve
If it's XP, all you do is set the PC to boot from the CD drive in the BIOS, then start up the machine with the XP disc in the drive and follow the prompts. It it's 95, 98 or ME, then you need a boot disc with CD drivers on it. Boot from the floppy and you'll be taken to a command prompt where you can use the format command to wipe the drive. Then just run Windows setup from the CD. In either case, tap the del key (usually) as your PC is booting to enter the BIOS. Look for the boot order options and make sure either the CD drive or the floppy is before the hard drive on the list.
Max
enter "Fdisk" at the command prompt. Don't do it unless you've got something to install though.
