MS removes the Xbox Live Gold requirement for playing F2P games online, starting today

One thing that kinda sucked about the Xbox platform compared to its competitors is that Xbox Live Gold was required to play online, even in games that are otherwise free to play. Starting today, MS are removing the Gold requirement for F2P games, as well as for using party chat and the "looking for group" feature on an Xbox console.

Games will need to be patched to support this change, but there's currently over 50 available that can now be played online without Gold: -

More will be added over time.
