Black Sabbath - Black Sabbath - Black Sabbath
Devil's tritone as the corner stone for the riff??? Good Night Jesus, hope you enjoyed your reign.

King Crimson - 21st Century Schizoid Man - Inthe Court of the Crimson King.

Insane. Imagine hearing this band for the first time back in 69? Holy shit.

Steely Dan - Do It Again - Can't Buy A Thrill

Rolling in like a bunch of pompous 50 year olds to Bring a delightful air of arrogance to rock.

Great thread.

Bombtrack - Rage Against the Machine - self titled.

Fuck Wit Dre Day (And Everybody's Celebratin') - Dr. Dre - The Chronic

EDIT: Some other of my favs:

Planet Claire - B-52s - self titled. Fuck this album is so good. Song really setups. This album is so eclectic-leadoff song nails it.

Dog Star (Fly On) - George Clinton And The P-Funk All Stars - Dope Dogs. Pretty jammy but really dope IMO. Strong Maggotbrain feel.

Don't Fight the Intro - Too $hort - Get in Where You Fit In. Song title says it all lol.

Check this dope playlist of best leadoff songs
