JHouse Posted April 13, 2019 Share Posted April 13, 2019 Can anybody that DJs out on the regular recommend a solid external hard drive, ideally one that plays well with Traktor? I recently copped a 2012 MacBook Pro with a 512GB SSD and love it, however, I'll need more space for forthcoming gigs. Ultimately, I just want to keep core software and music on the SSD, then other tracks (ones I don't play on the regular) on the external. Considering building my own so I can control the quality of the parts. I've been researching this topic on various sites, but would really like to hear your input. scottie(the)goonie Posted April 13, 2019 Share Posted April 13, 2019 Samsung T5. I have the 500GB, but the 1TB has come down in price since a year ago. I can't speak for TRAKOR, but the drive gets a lot of use for video editing purposes (more than it ever would in DJing). I currently use it to store 1000's of foley and soundFX files.
