Phology
i think deadlines to apply ended last monthbut im sure if u send in a demo now, it'll get a listenand more than likely you'll get a place u shud be able to order an Application Form from the websitejus send in a three track demo CD with the form (also cheque for course fee)1 track has to beatmixing (so jus a lil set)and if u make any of your own beats, whack 2 or 3 of them on aswell you should hear back in a few weeksim not 100% but u shud get in are u guna be living at home or moving out?if ur moving out u wana start looking at places soon/nowand going on the ACM Forum to hook up with peeps to share a house(i jus called all the DJ's on a list u'll get, and asked em) hope that helps... Jon
the application form i picked up in january says higher diploma applicants should 'perform a mix of your choice displaying all the basic skills (and any additional skills you may have) required by a DJ. i.e. accurate beatmatching, good use of crossfader, good selection of music. The mix should be no longer than 30 minutes. You can include a track listining if u wish.' 'the average higher diploma student will usually have 2-3 years bedroom dj'ing experience and would normally be expected to have played live in a club, or party environment. They should be able to play at least 2 styles of music and be able to demonstrate some of the more advanced techniques of djing, i.e.e scratching, accapella mixing, phrase mixing, and use of EQ' hope that helps

Jon
'our last term, starting next week, is all turntablism with Jamieso that'll be cool!' cool- do all the students do the same stuff? so house djs do the same as hiphop etc- cos you're going to be having a huge advatnage over them if you are all taking turntablism
Steve
Fucking expensive innit! £2,300. It says "after funding". What does that mean?
Phology
ye, each term progresses they obviously see turtablism as the hardest form to masterso they cover it on the last term i think we're even doing a team battle thing within the class aswelleach row has to perform a routine
