What is this scratch? (Attn: Chile, Yoshi, Johnny and all the other cut professors)

So I don't know if any of you guys ever experience this, but often i find I benefit from time away from the turntables. Like if I practice too much, I get to a point where no new information can be absorbed until what I've been practicing has had time to sink in.

 

Anyway, after a bit of a hiatus, I was playing around with transforms and delayed flares, doing them cross-rhythm/undertimed/overtimed/whatever, trying to experiment a bit, when this just sort of popped up out of the blue, like it was something I'd been learning a while back and forgotten about.

 

 

Essentially, just a 2-click delayed flare/boomerang with a swing flare tacked onto the second part to make 8 sounds. It might have been something Yoshi covered in his sort of 'styles of D-Styles' video; can anyone remember if it has a name?

how do you make the nice drawing of the ttm?

 

I wanted to say it would be cool to put the extra transforms in the middle of the boomerang, but I don't know how to put up a nice picture like you did

Eric - I just downloaded a blank graph paper gif from Google image search and used photoshop to draw the TTM

its not a scratch..its a zig zag with some dots on here and there
