  1. Nope, with the forearm technique you shouldn't hear the backspins if it's done clean, however I agree it's highly unlikely he set them up at 16th notes so quickly and nailed them. Total Eclipse is the best at the technique that I've seen and even he has to gradually speed up to 16th notes over a couple bars, and even with him you still hear the backspin sometimes.
  2. Most likely it's edited, he probably 2-tracked stabs to do the same effect as if you have 2 DJs stabbing back and forth I don't think that juggle pattern is possible unless he's being SUPER crafty. The only way I could conceive of it being pulled off without edits is if he did something like... -made a sticker loop on 1 side so he doesn't have to backspin to the "HEY" -used the forearm trick that Diggla mentioned a la Total Eclipse (2:10 ) Basically you can't backspin/loop 16th notes at all without doing that forearm trick (or using your stomach lol) but as demonstrated in the Total Eclipse video you can't set that trick up instantly at that speed, so you wouldn't have time to backspin and be right into it. So he'd need a sticker loop that would allow him to get his forearm into position and start the doubling at that speed without having to backspin. He does six 16th notes with the "hey" and the vid diggla posted earlier is 16th notes as well but generally you can only do a maximum of 3 of the same sound in a row (tripling), and MAYBE 4 if you're super incredibly slick on the right beat, but 6 of the same note isn't a thing unless it's a beat that has the same note or word twice in a row.
  3. starting a beat juggle series tonight, "From Beat Struggler to Beat Juggler"
  4. I have 2 timezones now. 7PM EST mondays, and 3PM EST wednesdays, if that helps at all. Same content but wednesday is the content from the previous week, so it's staggered a bit. Yea dude, what do you have in mind? I'm starting with beginner stuff to hit maximum people, but as time goes on I will need more ideas.
  5. Part 2 tonight - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GAPsG0G9sGQ
  6. in my anecdotal experience of using Ortofons for 3 years, I found the Scratch to be better. The tip of the Q-bert stylus kept snapping off for me. Like not the entire styles, just the diamond (?) that sits in the groove. I went through 3 the same way. I saw a video on K-Swizz instagram a couple weeks ago that had the same problem too. At first glance they look fine, but when you put them on the record they just slide, and if you look closely the tip is gone... So just a word of warning. That said, I love the sound of the Ortofons, I could just never get them set up *quite* as good as the Shures and I went through them twice as fast. If I had the funds, I would want to try more of their styluses and see how much the performance differs. But yea, I switched from Q-bert to Scratch and was pretty happy back when I used them. I always used the q-bert bodies, just the pink stylus.
  7. Nice! Didn't catch those, that's a good shout. I cleaned up a few of the ones that didn't make sense, lol. Someone had 30 seconds of me basically gapping out :/
  8. Nope, completely free. You don't even need an account. Subscribers just get "perks" like extra luck in the raffles I do. It's live only though.
  9. no doubt, working on a possible GMT time stream right now
  10. More deets in the video, but I'm just running a DJ battle lesson livestream thing on Twitch tonight. Not sure how many will be into that here... but it should be a regular thing for anyone who is. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=e7krvu-eO4w
  11. I see yall spamming that discount code. Thanks for the support beys! Here's another clip of the record. I took one of Fresh Kils instrumentals (that samples Enter the Dragon), and I removed 1 beat per bar to make it a 3/4 (more like 6/8) beat, so that when you baby scratch an extra 8th note it brings it back to 4/4 time. The vid shows kinda what you can do with it:
  12. Thanks sir!! I *think* it's 13 NZD up to 3 records.
  13. Only if you can make prints of that for me to sell on my site.
  14. I think TTW is gonna stock some, but I'm not positive because we were just hit up for a pretty cool partnership/distribution offer that might take most/all of the remaining copies... Unfortunately Canadian only. So I have out on distributors for a week or 2 to see if that's happening for sure. Oh I forgot to say MINIMUM ORDER 100 COPIES, I'll just add them to your account... 3 is fine as long as you film a 3 record juggle with them.
  15. Don't quote me but I think shipping to UK has been 5-6 GBP for 5-10 business day delivery (assuming I can upgrade the speed for free like it has been). Doesn't increase at all up to 4 records/stickers/anything else I can fit into a 7.25x7.25 package. I hate sites that charge 200% of the product cost in shipping alone so I spent about $100 on apps to optimize shipping costs as best as I could. Still some issues to work out with some items but I tried to get records to ship as cheap as possible. If anyone goes to order and does see glaring shipping inconsistencies let me know so I can try to sort it out.
  16. Yo oldest of DJ brehs. I released a 7" with my homie, 1 side is skipless scratch samples, the other is skipless drum scratch/juggle loops. No ahh/fresh. Brief demo of some of the samples: 15% off for you muh fukkaz only with the promo code FkGabeSaint, expires in a week. Shop is https://vekked.myshopify.com/ EDIT: also, can't guarantee this but both European orders so far let me upgrade from 8-12 week shipping to 10 day shipping at no cost. So if you pick the cheap snail option it will likely arrive much sooner.
  17. Brace's new album is out now, I'm featured on Shake My Head so it qualifies for member audio & video files. https://djbrace.bandcamp.com/album/apatheia-2
  18. Noize had a juggle with it on Tableturns, but I don't think it's the one you're thinking of... I can hear it in my head too i fucking love you Vekked ! Thats the one! Thanks! haha ok sweet, I swear someone else did one where they flipped the vocals more too

  20. Interesting, would like to try the Numarks cuz the Denons actually felt pretty nice. Any idea why Pioneer has the weird jerky torque thing when you're scratching, whereas other Super OEMs don't? Also not that the RP-7000 MK2 is a lot better than the 7000 IMO, if only because they changed that awful "start/brake" knob to an independent brake knob now. If they make a straight arm version of it, it might take my crown as the best/most cost effective new turntable.
  21. I just did a tour across Canada demo'ing them. They're not bad at all, but they are very expensive for mostly the same stuff as any other modern turntable. They're definitely better than the PLX-1000s, but I'm currently using Reloop RP-8000 Straights which are slightly cheaper than PLX's or Denons, with more features. If you're super set on getting S-arm over straight arm, then go for Denons, but you're paying premium.
  22. I haven't heard them come up all that often in my research but I'm open to any suggestions!
  23. Adams and Focals aren't *that* much different in price for me... like 20% more for Focal Shapes, and the same price for CMS (possibly less cuz I've seen them on the used market around here, but not the Shapes or Adams). Which do you like between the 2, if price was equal?
  24. Truue, yea you might be right. I heard them in a store and they sounded amazing but it wasn't the most fair comparison because they were almost twice the price of every other monitor they had... But the difference was obvious between the price ranges.
  25. Yea I have the Rokits still for bass, I'll keep them. The only thing I've heard about the A7x's is some people say they sound hyped in the highs and not very neutral... like they sound "good" to listen to instead of honest. Not sure if that's true, but if it is I'd rather get a neutral set because the KRK's are super hyped and make stuff sound good already, so I'm looking for a contrasting monitor.
