motosega Posted January 22, 2013 Share Posted January 22, 2013 nice pics but i still don't understand how they manage to make the control vinyls so fucking warped.. they must stack them on the edge next to the radiator i suppose. just grumbling i suppose, i have 5 control vinyls and only two of them are so bent that i can't juggle with them without putting the needle halfway through the reccord.or using relative mode. Guest Symatic Posted January 22, 2013 Share Posted January 22, 2013 sometimes takes a couple of go's. I think a wood surface is good - better than glass. Might need to flex the record a bit as it cools. It normally kinda dishes back up towards the ceiling a tiny bit as the water sits on top of it, but then I just do like a Rolf Harris Warble Board technique and it settles back in the middle as it cools.
