savwar
there is a track ID thread isn't there? couldn't find it. Anyone know what the tun JRocc has looping in the background between 5 and 8 mins in on this?Love it but can't shazam it or anything and can't find the lyrics either, and they're hard to hear. https://www.mixcloud.com/jrocc/adventures-in-stereo-thank-u-prince-special/ Can't seem to embed <iframe width="100%" height="400" src="https://www.mixcloud.com/widget/iframe/?feed=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.mixcloud.com%2Fjrocc%2Fadventures-in-stereo-thank-u-prince-special%2F&light=1"frameborder="0"></iframe>
Guest broke
At 7:05, Jrocc says "a little Prince beat right here". I Googled the longest bit of the lyrics I could make out ("you just need a friend to help you make it through the rain") but couldn't find anything.
savwar
Yeah he says 'a prince beat' and then start talking about the fusion project that prince did (Madhouse), but i thought that was referring to the opening track of the show, which is at about 1minute... yeah i've tried googling as much of the lyrics as i could. Killer beat. need to find it.
danswift
Sorry,i cant help as Prince is not one of my strong points unfortunately My missus could possibly know it though as she's got tons of his stuff so i'll play it to her when im back home later today

Guest Symatic
if you can find a bootleg version of The Rebels album, i bet that's where J-rocc's chops are coming from

Guest broke
Bow down to Sy's online digging skills! I started going through the Discogs listings of stuff Prince had produced, but there was too much of it.
Jam Burglar
]nybody know the original track used by D-Styles and Flare on "Carcass Of A Mutilated Humanoid" I've never been able to find ithttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JPG-WaTY7-Y
Monkey-Hands
The beat itself is on Melo-D's Ultimate Snakes & Cheats battlewax.
Jam Burglar
The beat itself is on Melo-D's Ultimate Snakes & Cheats battlewax. Word, I've actually got that one and it's on another break record I have too (maybe the DJ Supreme/aLias record?) I was trying to find the original source (if there is one). joeClockwork
Ah, wait. You're after the source of the beat. OK, ignore that!
Jam Burglar
Haha! Yeah. I'm looking for the source of the electro track with the Atari Berserk sample "We Will Destroy ... The humaniod must not escape". I"m sort of making an assumption that Flare or D did not make the beat themselves but back then most of those beats were taken from electro records.
