Though it's possible to use the hardware with some other applications, it's not possible to run the software without PT hardware so you're shit outta luck if you're looking for a crack. There is a free version for win98/me which is limited to 8 tracks . goto www.digidesign.com and search for 'free windows' if you want it. peace. I'm not sure that's the case. If it is, then Phology i'd reccommend Logic. It's very similar to PT, though equally difiicult to learn. Next, use the keygen to generate a registration(serial) number and enter it into the Ableton Live registration window. It will produce what's called a "challenge" code. Re-open the keygen and enter the challenge code. It will produce a key in response to the challenge. Go back to the Ableton Live registration window and enter the challenge response that the keygen produced. Then you're all set to go. Max Posted February 1, 2005 Share Posted February 1, 2005 Do you know what a patch is? If so, you have to patch the file before the keygen will be of any use. If you don't know what a patch is, it's a modified copy of the main executable program file. In this case, "Live 4.0.4.exe." Cracks will either use a program to automatically replace the original file with a modified one for you, or simply give you a modified copy of the executable that you drag and drop into the directory where the program files are, replacing it with the original. With the Ableton live Key Generator, it will not work unless a patch is done first. The modified copy will accept the registration numbers and challenge responses that the key generator makes, but the original file will not. That's why you patch. Hope that helps.
