Try looking on freesound.org (it's under the Creative Commons license so I don't know if that will be ok for your film?), there's recordings of pretty much everything on there. Alternatively a slightly more expensive option would be to buy a hand held record...check the Zoom H4n (or Zoom H2 for a cheaper option) and go for a walk, maybe a lil expensive for this project but it's a bloody good investment for the long term.
