Do you use a soundcard with when scratching over loopers etc ? I use this http://www.htfr.com/more-info/MR195400 and it says it should be Mac compatable but doesn't work, any idea's?

That would work but why would you need a soundcard? All you need is a those RCA to 1/8th chords people use for ipods. If You have an aux in you can go from the headphone out of the laptop then to the aux in. If you don't have an aux in you can use the channel inputs and set that input on the mixer to line, and it will work as well. If you have anymore questions just ask :)

And if you bought that sound card already or have it and want to use it for whatever reason make sure you select it instead of the built in speakers. To do this click on finder on the dock, then go to Apple > System Preferences > Sound > Output, the sound card should be their, if it isnt then it is not compatible from out of the box and you will have to google for some drivers. Most sound cards and such work right out of the box with mac though.
