  1. Those dj pump golden era mixtapes are fuego as well
  2. Yeah,I couldn't agree more with you tbh..the strange world of Northern Soul has always attracted its fair share of weirdos and folks who take the OVO (original vinyl only) thing way too far. I get tired of these morons very quickly nowadays..I used to waste too much time arguing the case for the need for reissues, compilations etcetera of the music which deserves to be heard by as many people as possible, imo...i have no desire whatsoever to spend £400 on a rare 45 when I can pick up a legitimate repressing for £5 or find it on a compilation cd irrespective of how much I like the track or the particular genre of music. Trying to convince some of these idiots that it doesn't devalue the music iin any way if it's not the original source material that's being heard or my argument that music belongs to everyone, not just a select few is something they just don't seem willing to accept or understand, basically. I completely agree with you on that Dan I can't understand how people hate on reissues makes no sense to me. I honestly think the dudes value how rare / expensive the record is over the actual music which is a shame. It completely reminds me of clothing and shoes where the harder to obtain more scarce product drives up demand, instead of the actual look of the clothing IMO. The Yeezy shoes are a perfect example once they started producing more pairs where they were accessible to everyone sneakerheads started shitting on em.
  3. sfv player here currently trying to learn dbz fighters. i play on steam if any of you all are down to play sometime
  4. couldnt agree more with this topic! great video bruv
  5. dope vid, thanks for the info! also what do you use to mount the camera overhead that way if you dont mind me asking
  6. IMO if you have a 62 and windows you should get rid of the mixer as it is not reliable when using DVS. Rane really fucked over the windows customers on this one. The issue has been unresolved since 2016 which is ridiculous IMO.
  7. @A-Skate also quick question what is contributing to rafiks scratches sounding more smooth than the tutorial you posted? mine are sounding more like the ones in the tutorial any advice?
  8. yo cheers that is definitely the scratch he is doing at the end. this is much easier to watch cheers!
  9. If you play with friends in a lobby the winner stays on is how it works for most fighting games.
  10. Basically want to know if he is performing the pull back / push whilst opening the fader, or does he open the fader then does a pull back / push? I cant really tell from the video but I would think both would sound different. Any feedback try to get this down slowly.
  11. waiting on the first news article where someone's shoe gets hacked during a game
  12. Short little mix i put together for valentine's day. I haven't recorded a mix in years so figured i'd give it a shot last night.
  13. Will do, i just have ableton live and an akai mpd26 and some krk rockit monitors for now. I thought i would keep my setup simple and get more beats under my belt before going off and buying a ton of gear. Thanks man, at first I was trying to flip the sample so it sounded nothing like the original. I think by over complicating the chops i ended up with a less musical sounding piece and jumpy as dan and steve mentioned. That's an honorable intention but I would be careful about letting that get in your way. I've seen lots of producers get twisted up trying to "flip shit beyond recognition" or ditch sampling all together on the premise that its not as good as choosing your own notes and making your own melodies, patterns, etc. Those guys fall off a lot of times. When you ask them who their favorite producers are its like "Pete Rock, Marly Marl, Rza, etc.", who all did plenty of strait up loop lifting. If what Pete Rock was doing was so "easy" then everybody would have their own TROY. So many people talk about chopping and flipping these days but some of the best tracks were more about combining sound x with sound y and z to make something that sounds like it was always meant to be. Fact is, going crazy on the chops is not better or worse than looping, it's just different. Ditching sampling all together isn't "better" it's just different, and there are disadvantages that go along with the advantages. So, my advice is to not worry too much with impressing the "heads" and focus most on making music. Such solid advice man, i think you perfectly summed up what i learned from this entire thread and feedback! Thanks for the feedback sym! And i finished the track, think i am pretty satisfied with the final result here it is

  15. ahh my bad here is the correct link https://soundcloud.com/faderhead/theinternetsdown2/s-f6JRP
  16. thanks dan and steve for the feedback, ill definitely finish the arrangement and upload it tonight. It was definitely nice to hear some feedback other than sounds good, so thanks for that. this beat is older but if you can let me know what you think of this track as well that would be dope! https://soundcloud.com/faderhead/theinternetsdown2
  17. Hey guys i edited the chops up and uploaded the changes. It still is a bit jumpy i think how steve says, however i dont just want to loop the sample add the drums and bassline and say i made a beat (kinda feels like its cheating) I changed the part of the section of the main sample which had drums so now the beat sounds fuller IMO too. Let me know what you fellas think. https://soundcloud.com/faderhead/caring4aghost/s-t5Lm0 And Dan, i feel you i can only do super simple drums and i drum these in myself this is probably why the drums sound so stiff / basic.
  18. Hey guys thanks a lot for the feedback. I am going to go back to the drawing board on the chops and try and make is sound less jumpy. Best advice i have gotten so far everyone else ive showed the track to never has anything constructive to say so i appreciate it fellas! also @danswift, what do you mean by stiff? I take it you are strictly talking about the drums here?
  19. Hey guys pretty new to beat making any advice would be great. Here is the link https://soundcloud.com/doomsdaze/thereisnoonethere/s-grqHR
  20. If i understand you correctly you are moving the data from one worksheet to another using a VBA macro. And the VBA macro will copy the cells from one worksheet to another for selected column you want to move over, and you are copying and pasting blank rows into the other sheet? If so you have two options. One create a dynamic named range and reference those in your code. Or two when looping through the cells in the range if the value of the cell is equal to an empty string simply break out of the loop.
  21. Listened to the first month man digging it so far!

A raspberry pi with motion installed would work as well. You could easily write a script to upload the videos to dropbox or any other online cloud service. It also has streaming capabilities. Here is a video on how to set it up
  23. I cant get enough of the sample selection and cuts in this video, the Chappelle sample at the end was fucking hilarious
