Steve
If you've downloaded the new version of MSN Messenger (6.2.0137) you might find that any older ad patches you had no longer work. I found instructions on how to manually edit MSN itself with a hex editor to remove the ads. It worked and rather than post the instructions, here's the cracked version of the file......... .:. RIGHT CLICK & SAVE .:. Download this file, make sure you exit MSN completely then go into the C:\Program Files\MSN Messenger directory and rename the file msnmsgr.exe to msnmsgr.old. Next, move the file you downloaded to the same directory. This way, if it doesn't work for some reason, you still have the other version of the file backed up. Start MSN and check that it works. To remove the annoying tabs that run down the side of the screen in MSN, do this......... Select Options... from the Tools menu Select the Privacy tab Check the box before "This is a shared computer so don't display my tabs" Press OKSign out and back in againNo more tabs! The cracked version of MSN available for download is only for those of you using the very latest version (6.2.0137) but the information on the tabs applies to all.
