Just got a new base unit and it came with Vista - Home Premium Edition pre-installed ... When I left the store I was thinking when I get home I am going to install my red'g copy XP Pro but while on the drive home I got to thinking well I might just fuk around with vista and see what I can slag off about it ... Well had it 2 days now and I really like it .. turned off all the fluffy shit but it really is fast but I am sure that is the CPU will be part of the speed fact over the OS but really do like it ....

word.

my bro just upgraded his PC and ended up getting vista.

i actually dig it on a nice, fast, up to date system. no lag or anything.

the thing that only gets me right now is the fawking questions.

"are you sure you want to do this?"

If you got the spec, Vista flies.

And iExist is right, all the "Are you sure?"... "Are you REALLY sure?"... bollocks is tiresome, but considering it means I can trust my olds to not drive their new laptop into a ditch I welcome the addition.

Oh, and get a >=2GB flash drive for ReadyBoost. It really is worth the outlay. Mad not to.

I've still yet to experiment with how Vista handles multiple audio devices; hopefully much better than XP which is still being a pain in the arse every so often with my USB soundcards

Yer the "Are you sure, really sure, do you really wanna do you really wanna" is a bit of a pain BUT once you got all the good stuff installed you very rarely see it... Vista reminds me of Directory Opus that I use to use on the Amiga ...

Think for anyone new of computers Vista is piss easy to get use to ... :d
